thats right i made up what i saw..yup never had consecutive three and outs

So now we've gone from 3 or 4 consecutive 3 and outs to two consecutive 3 and outs followed by a TD.

This may shock you, but if you go back and look at every drive this season, you will find consecutive 3 and outs in which passes were called on both first downs.

What about the 1 and out in the 2nd quarter due to the interception on 1st down? A 3 and out wouldn't have bothered me there, how about you?

the problem is we continue to rely on being a second half team instead of playing four quarters.

we were down 7 at the half and it would have been tied if it wasn't for the int

so that means we're not inconsistent on offense or that we are? which is the point i'm trying to get across.

wasn't that our two minute drive?
A three and out bothers me everytime, our offense is too good for a three and out. It happens at times but it shouldn't happen often. we should be atleast able to get A (1) (uno) (un/e) first down on a drive.

Dude stop crying! Until our QB's get better and can make better throws we will be a running offense. Listen to what I'm saying we can't throw the football very well. Live with the growing pains it will get better.

very true, but we didn't tie it until the end of the third and you can't say we didn't have many of opportunities to do so earlier. Hell even before it was 17 - 10 we had several opportunities to drive and put some points on the board.

tell me where i said it wouldn't?
all i said is it shouldn't happen often. You can't say we aren't capable of at least getting a first down.

what you going to tell me that they had consecutive three and outs as well...thats not my point. that offense proved it can score at will

this offense is totally different and doesn't seem to keep momemtum like last years.

freshmen qb or not, because its not just him...its the overall offense.

i was just going to let you know that last year on the road, we had:

5 3 and outs at Bama
5 3 and outs at Tulane
5 3 and outs at Kentucky
and 3 3 and outs at Ole Miss

we had 5 last night

freshmen qb or not, because its not just him...its the overall offense.

it has everything to do with him

every team has several 3 and outs, especially on the road. We adjusted to it and dominated the rest of the ballgame.

so byrd's drops, lafell's drop, the offensive line sometimes not being able to get a push all falls on lee being a freshmen?

that bama game how many points we scored? considering we had i think 3 ints that game. that offense proved it could score when it needed it and wanted it.

tulane - probably the shittiest we've played but since we won it doesn't matter right?

kentucky - did we win? so those 3 and outs proved costly right? and the inconsistency of our offense and defense that game proved costly right? (forget that we won the championship and just focus on that loss)

i dont' remember watching the ole miss game so i can't comment on it just remember they blew up our defense

since you all about going get stats and all, find how many times we punted in each of those game and compare it too last night and then compare the points and look see which offense had more consistency and balance.

we dominated the second half defensively and dominated offensively for a little over 15 minutes. so for about 18 minutes we played better offensively due to a warn out defense.

if our defense doesn't play lights out in the second half then maybe you'd see what i'm getting at.

What are you even talking about? Are you trying to say all 3 and outs are the result of running on 1st down?

Just admit it, you overreacted to something that didn't exist and were proven wrong. No big deal. Move on.

which put our offense in a hole, the defense won us that game on a fumble and we had to rely on a 4th and 9 completion to win it.

2 of the 3 passes were intercepted on 1st down, the other one was on a 3rd and 2.

we lost the game because of interceptions and dropped passes + losing zenon and jackson to injury during the game

5th Year Senior QB is going to bring more consistency and balance than a Freshman QB, i don't get what your fricking point is.

so for about 18 minutes we played better offensively due to a warn out defense.

so the gameplan worked, just say it. Whenever you can do whatever you want at the end of the game, you usually win

quote:

if our defense doesn't play lights out in the second half then maybe you'd see what i'm getting at.

i'm pretty sure we would have changed the offensive philosophy if we didn't have great field position the 2nd half or if we got down by 2 scores. We took advantage of it and kept their D on the field the whole 4th quarter. We dropped passes, or we would have been way more consistent (lafells was a 3rd down pass). Byrd dropped a ball and lafell dropped a ball (both were close to td passes).

Our Oline has not been a problem for us this year, we are running the ball on every team outside of florida.

if our defense doesn't play lights out in the second half then maybe you'd see what i'm getting at.

so we played to our strengths and didn't give their offense a chance to get back in the game in the 4th
