There's a higher risk of fumbling but you do get he back the ball a second faster and it allows them to see the field for a second longer

Theoretically

but I dont think we fumbled too many either

most handoff fumbles are when the RB thinks is a fake and doesn’t catch/grab the ball

the RB thinks a fake is a handoff and rips it out the QBs hands

or an option play where the QB wants to pull and the RB already took the ball.

Just don't hit the wrong gap with no time left on the clock like Guice.
