quote:you can't appreciate an inferior opponent coming in with a good game plan and plays hard and for a half, kept our players and coaches on their toes. This was the type of game that makes players and coaches better as well as giving Les and companies a teaching point about taking opponents lightly, which is important considering our very next opponent and their coaches history with ours.
They got beat as expected, who cares?

quote:it reflected in his players as well. They didn't come out and say "look at LSU, #1 team in the nation. Look at all those 5* players, etc". They played loose and against a faceless opponent.
The coach was cool as hell. Seemed super chill and just enjoying the fact that his team was in Death Valley competing against the #1 team in the land. May be a good pick up for someone like Ole Miss or Kansas.

Looks like their Defensive Coordinator had a good time while he was in BR at least.

Plus LSU isn't used to night games, we play much better at 2:30 on CBS.

No the troy game in 08 was. This game was never in doubt. 42-9? give me a break. And we did this with a back up qb and 3rd string rb.

WKU was badass in that first half. They had a shite ton of swag. I was loving them talking shite to our players. Lot of respect for that small time school, they werent scared and came at us.
THIS...WKU executed very well and was not intimidated. They were however run down and run over in the 2nd have with our plethora of talent....Did anyone else notice we gave 6 different RBs reps in the game?

I will freely admit that WKU cam to play and had a well formulated game plan. Their players gave it their all and appeared to have a good time doing so. Their coach did a good job of prepping the players for what could have been a very intimidating situation. Kuddos.
I do think there was entirely too much pointing at the sky (or maybe it was the scoreboard?
) and after the play BS. The highlight video posted earlier in the game shows what I am talking about with the hand to the face of Ware after the play.
