Montgomery comes to mind. He was cut by 3(?) teams. Simon left early just go in the 5th round. Ware left as a junior and went in the 6th round.
That was all following the 2012 season. Other than Freak, you can make an argument that nearly all of the guys we've had leave early in the last 2-3 years have made the smart decision for themselves. We'll see if that holds true for Jerald Hawkins.

Did you notice a change in pace when it came to the play calling in the bowl game? Plays were getting to the field quicker, we were snapping the ball with 10+ seconds, less false starts and illegal procedures.
I am a fan of Les. He is a great ambassador for the university, but he is stubborn as hell when it comes to play calling.

Yea, that's recent.

that's the one year that people were wondering wtf was going on. It now seems like it was an anomaly.

I think people were pretty concerned after the 2013 season as well, but you look at Landry, Beckham, Hill, Trai Turner, and Ego and the roles they're having in the NFL and it makes sense. The problem in that draft wasn't that players that SHOULD HAVE come back weren't coming back, it's that we just had an insane amount of players that SHOULD HAVE gone to the NFL.
What I can say for the guys for this year is that they're all very very talented players and they will play on Sundays, but from a business perspective, they made the right decision.

when did our fanbase become borderline retarded?
Actually far from retarted. Why do you think Les always put his OC in the booth? Maybe because he wanted final say on all plays. Maybe because if he didn't like it, he had ability to change it before it was given to quarterback? Why do you think he's always had issues with clock management.
I'm not trying to be a negatiger or whatever you want to call me, I've just seen this too many times from him over and over.

Tre would be the only one I wouldn't think made a bad decision if he left or if he stayed. Other than him, the others needed to return IMO and he will benefit from it. But his draft grade is certainly high enough to justify leaving.
I have a good feeling about 2016 though.

It was Cams decision to be in the booth. A lot of OCs prefer the booth because it's easier to read the defenses.

Every head coach has final say. That doesn't mean they're calling the plays

He hasn't.

I could see Beckwith leaving. He could go anywhere from late 1st to mid 2nd. Coming back still won't guarantee him a 1st round.

Staff remaining in tact isn't necessarily a good thing. Cameron needs to go

Yea, not sure how I forgot Beckwith.
Only Ragland was a higher rated LB IIRC.

Most coordinators are coaching from the field now. Take Monday's game for instance.

Most coaches didn't meddle with play calling like Les and I know this from multiple staff.

I guess you weren't a fan during the Ole Miss debacle and near one vs Tennessee.
Look we're not going to agree. Some people want to put the blame on CC. I think with him on the field, the offense will be crisper. The plays may not be drastically different, but you wont see near the amount of penalties that we normally have.

While I agree that the offseason thus far has been better than expected, the offensive staff remaining intact is nothing to be excited about.

Just hope this all translates to the field with wins over the teams we haven't beat recently.
