Umm...how about this....we played our 7 easiest games in games 1-7 and we won them all. Due to our schedule, we actually play our 4 most difficult opponents at the end all in a row. All 3 teams that have beaten us are better than us. It is simple is that. Alabama has 12 seniors and a great DL, Ole Miss is going to have 3 of the top 15 players drafted and Arkansas has the best QB in the league right now.

Those are the facts. We are not as good as people thought we were with the 7-0 start. Very simple. Nothing else to look for.

Sad, but true.

Hawkins was playing like complete shite before he got hurt, he isn't the reason for why we suck now.

the whole line has really. if we are to stick with zone blocking, we should get some agile guys, like 5 in this class.

Horse shite. The effort from the players is there, that is obvious. The scheme they are implementing is a failure of epic proportion.

the scheme has always lacked, but they team has essentially quit

the recruiting problem with miles was brought up by SFP, sadly the thread got stuck on the scoreboard. It pointed out how our line woes are caused by wrong players for the system.

Miles botched recruiting because of that, Miles isn't a tactical guy that can see the big picture.

he should start a new thread. i have no problem with grimes if we have the right personnel. he has always been a highly regarded coach.

Seriously, Georgia, Texas A&M, and now LSU seem to not be the same since playing Bama. UGA and A&M's schedules have been a bit weaker than LSU's since their Bama games, so they do have some victories since then. But all three teams seem to have effectively collapsed after failing to measure up to Bama. Saban is just head and shoulders above the rest and makes even good teams look bad by comparison.

For one thing, it's obvious Miles stepped back in control of offense.

All of a sudden, 50% of our plays are 1 wr, double te and I formation. There is no place for that formation in college football, unless you're inside the 5.

Yet it is now our base, ala JJ days.

Sorry, but this is Miles fault and it's caused him to lose the team

IMO this is the biggest factor, Miles talked way too much about ranking and making the playoffs, even after the Bama loss. He honestly thought he had a team hitting on all cylinders that could beat anyone. This lead to another ineffective game plan vs. Bama with no plan B.

Another interesting point SFP brought up is TE recruiting.

Last play-making TE LSU played was Richard Dickson.

But what's odd is Miles still recruits these play-making TEs, but he never wants to use them to put up points and make plays.

He recruits these other guys like Gordon who should basically be another OL while Smith and Washington sit the bench.

We need a coach that recruits and utilizes the offensive talent he recruits to the best of his ability.
