I recently went to the 2nd Half Sports Grill in Manhattan Beach, CA for the LSU vs Alabama game. LSU Alumni block off the top floor for LSU alumni and fans only. They play all the cheers and songs for each down all throughout the game. There were 2 former cheerleaders there doing the cheers at the front of the room. It felt like home.
On to business at hand. Someone had posted a few weeks ago that F. King Alexander had gone to one of their tailgates and spoke rather bluntly about the entire Florida fiasco, how mad he was and how much they dodged every attempt to play the game. This may be old news, but I'm here to give a second on that motion. The head of the LSU Alumni Chapter here in Southern California spoke in depth about it (His name is Roger from what I recall). F. King Alexander was President of Cal State Long Beach from 2006- 2013 before he took over at LSU. He flies up here often and spends lots of time with the Alumni chapter here. Roger basically said everything tRant poster said. F. King was extremely upset with how the entire Florida fiasco was handled and spoke very bluntly about it. LSU did offer every conceivable option to get the game played.
The game is being played and that's all that matters in the long run. Just stating this again to have it in the back of our heads when we hear the media bring up all this crap again once they start the broadcast. I hope we curb stomp them into the ground. Geaux Tigers!
