Did Skenes start against Taylor or did Taylor follow Skenes?

Floyd and Skenes started. Taylor is your #4. He will pitch weekends but they could start him midweek to keep his inning count up and ready in case of injury or if he shows he can outperform Hurd or Floyd. He’s a legit Friday night guy. Our staff is deep.

He wasn’t facing the “starters”

This isn’t the fall. The teams won’t be split evenly. Just an FYI. Our best hitters will now face our best pitchers.

This is a new ell. I’m going to be positive and non-combative. Welcome to LSU baseball as it should be.

Thanks, ell. I have 1000 questions, but I won't do you like that.

I'm coming in peace with this

This team is loaded, it has all the hitting power in the world and finally some quality arms.

Has there been any discussion or sneak peak of how our fielding and defense looks?

It was honestly the weakest link last season costing several games.

We won’t have any issues defensively. Of course there will be errors. It won’t cost us games.

Hahahahaha he’s back!

Magician been having nightmares about defense all off-season. No way to tell yet really but all signs point to White being a solid defender, Thompson healthy, Morgan gold glove, Milazzo back, and Kling should be a good RF. Should be much improved purely from a personnel and health standpoint. Pitching also lost us a ton of games and we should be improved greatly there. I expect us to be much improved.

Who played 2B with the 1s? I feel like Jay likes Nippolt, especially against RHP.

It was slightly split up. But Merrifield got the start with the “better” team. He was 0-3.

Don't go changing Ell. You give the board a little spice.

Magician - Lack of starting pitchers were our downfall last year. OF, Catching and 1B should be above average. White is no golden glover but looks better than Berry at this point. Too many options at 2B for it not to be good. If Thompson produces the defense will be above average.
