Some Questions..

When I was leaving Gameday Saturday morning I told off one of our students who had to of been a freshman. He was yelling at two LSU guys (and they were ignoring him)nothing too bad, he just kept repeating things like take off your purple shirt. He was clearly drunk. I was not the only WVU fan yelling at this guy. There were A LOT of us walking and telling this guy to shut up, and "I bet your Mom is proud", etc.
I have never and would never say anything to visiting fans. Unless of course, there would be reason to. It is unsettling for me to visit your board and see the things your fans say about the state of West Virginia. I just feel it is hypocrtical of you guys to say things about coal miners, rednecks etc. etc.
Does anyone see where I am coming from? I mean, what good does it do? And make fun of Geno Smith? He did really well against your defense...really, really well actually. It will probably help your defense out with upcoming teams.

Really!? You are posting this shite after YOUR fans sat and watched a pregnant woman get battered while trying to defend her husband who was beaten nearly to death? He had to have surgery to put his face back togeather.
Nice fricking first post.

Any sensible person knows that the rare exceptions are just that, and that 99.5+% of the WVU fans were outstanding. Still, it is unreasonable to expect sensation-seeking football fanatics, and flamers, to properly characterize it this way (as an exception). If you lose sleep over this, that is unfortunate, as you are fretting over something that is just not a concern.

So you talk about your fans then throw in that Geno Smith nugget. Stay on topic.

No worries, man. Big stage. Lots of alcohol. College kids will be college kids. LSU has a rep for "passionate" fans as well (cue the flaming bags of piss reference). I don't' think they'd be that way if they were a regular conference opponent.
That being said, I DO NOT want WVU in the SEC.

Have you ever been to a road game in the SEC before? The way the majority of their fans acted went waaaaaaaaay past just some heckling and fun trash talk.

did you see the final score?
thanks for taking up our fans. do you happen to know the thugs who like to beat up on a man and his pregant wife.

I was more in awe (not a positive term here) at the adults who go fricking crazy after each play. I can somewhat understand a drunken college idiot, but a dad acting an arse in front of his wife and kid is a little extreme. Meanwhile the wife applauds the actions.
WVU has a long way to go.

Not sure about the incident that occured with the people getting beat up. Too many different stories on that one. I wouldn't be surprised if it did happen as I wouldn't be surprised if it happened anywhere else.
I didn't think I changed the topic about Geno. My general concern was hypocrisy. I would expect you to agree that Geno did really well against your defense. It was amazing to watch LSU's defense. It really was. And it was amazing to watch Geno do what he could against the absolute best defense in the country. He broke our school records with his passing Saturday and I believe it is the most passing (?) yards against LSU in a couple years. But I could be wrong. Someone told me that.
I thought it was a nice first post too.
Also, I am a girl. From Morgantown and a grad student at WVU.

Perhaps you can teach your fellow students that you can actually have fun football banter and trash talk with opposing fans, without resorting to the tired and repeated frick yous, and suck a dick.

I was impressed with Geno. They took what they could against LSU.

MAM349 I have a few questions for you. I've largely stayed out of the back and forth and namecalling (except for your coach) but I'm curious:
1. Does your head coach typically act like this when a player gets injured?
2. Do your fans typically boo injured players?
Just curious, not trying to be an arse here. I was kinda shocked by that behavior. Haven't seen behavior like that in SEC games.

Geno took what was given to him. Barring a couple missed tackles that gave way to big plays, that was exactly the defensinve plan. Let Geno dink and dunk, give up nothing deep, force TO's, and shut the run game down. sure his near 500 yds are nice, but are quite deceptive. if anyone deserves credit its WVU O-line, and they don't really deserve much seeing as we pretty much never blitzed. they only deserve credit because we thought we'd get plenty pressure with our down lineman and clearly didnt.

Just curious---Why don't you want WVU in SEC? I mean, I'd like to play the teams...although, I'd miss PITT and USF. But I really do want to know why you guys dislike it? Maybe just that you believe we don't fit?

The things that are said on this board are said in good fun . Cant take too much of this stuff seriously, but the guy selling the Katrina tshirts was classless. As for your team , they will be fine here on out.

The program is bush league....no offense, but your stadium would probably be the 9th best, and we feel we can attract a more traditional power.
