I'm going to Rosenblatt for the CWS and I've got a few questions. Who better to ask than LSU fans right?

1) If I have a general admission ticket, how early do I need to get there to make sure I have a seat for the day game?

2) If I go to the first game, am I screwing myself on getting into the second game?

3) Will the let me bring in sun screen?

4) Surely they sale beer, how much do they cost and do they stop serving at any point?

No beer in the stadium. No problem with sunscreen. Can't help with GA ticket info.

5) They also dont allow any Ole Miss gear into the stadium. Since they've never seen it before they'll assume its some left-wing political group

Thought you'd enjoy that

And I would assume it'd be pretty easy to smuggle alcohol in a flask

for opening day give it at least 3 hours. there is nothing to do in omaha except go to the CWS, so the entire town plus the eight fan bases will be there on Saturday/Sunday.

Saturday/Sunday, yes. Rest of the week, no.

Yup.

No alcohol in the stadium, but it's really easy to sneak in a flask.

yeah you can always bring a camera (may have to be pocket sized). Just don't even think about trying to record it

went to Omaha last year. Saw the Arkansas/Cal St Fullerton game and LSU/Virginia game.. I had GA tickets, we left the Arky game maybe 2 innings early i don't remember.. we went to get in line for the LSU game which the line had formed around the stadium already.. got in the game on time tho..

but that also was a LSU game in Omaha.. LSU is not there this year and I don't see many teams travel like LSU has, so the line might not be nearly as long this year.

also on a side note, Arky fans brought in a few beach balls and tried passing them around, Security got on them fast and took them away. Then came the LSU game.. most of the GA seats had beach balls going.. Security had given up any hope of containing the LSU fans and just let it happen

1) Depends on who is playing. I don't know if any team this year is going to bring a huge amount of fans like LSU and Texas. But for the first few days, I would get in line 2 hours before the game starts.

2) You could be. From your seats you should be able to see the GA line forming outside for the evening game.

3) Yes

4) No beer, but just go find some LSU fans in the RV lot and they should have plenty

Like stated already, only major team I would consider is Arizona St. I was in Omaha last year, but we didn't go to the Arizona St/North Carolina game. I went to the Southern Miss/Texas game and we got in line at least 3 hours ahead of time. I would say 2 hours for sure.

2) If I go to the first game, am I screwing myself on getting into the second game?

See above. Since no major teams playing this year, I would say leave around the 6th inning at the earliest and you should be able to get in line and get in.

3) Will the let me bring in sun screen?

I had a spray on sun screen that was small and stuck it in my pocket. They let me in with it.

4) Surely they sale beer, how much do they cost and do they stop serving at any point?

It was hot, so I skipped on the beer, so not sure.

Another option you can consider is buying reserved tickets. There are normally a lot of people selling tickets outside of and around Rosenblatt. Since Texas and LSU are not there this year there should be a lot of people selling tickets maybe even below face value. Each game is different and having reserved seats is better then having to guess when you need to get in line. Last year for the LSU Texas series, Monday and Tuesday seemed to be packed while Wednesday seemed to have more empty seats which surprised me. Also if you are going to an evening game, the sun sets over the 3rd base side.

I don't know, as I didn't drink any. I was assuming they did. Sorry for the mixup.
