The narrative is CBK inherited a depleted 39-man roster. So if the roster was depleted and we had the #5 ranked class, some of those '23 season true-Fr would've played to compensate for the inherited, depleted roster. They would be soph's in '24. So where are they?
Kaleb, Weeks, Womack, and Chester are starting or contributing. Giving CBK credit for the #5 ranked class in '23 is fine but in reality it has not proven to be anything special.

For many programs, like Ole Miss, the Portal changed the timeline to replenish a roster. Kelly chooses not to do so. He may be right and he may be wrong about that approach, but he doesn't have the luxury of being that patient unless he has a fat 10 yr. contract.
I hope he's right.

Don’t forget the company line of 30 something players 3 seasons ago. Dont mention Deion in the last two years bringing in over a hundred new players. It is the NIL era. Only half a decade and ole Kelly will have LSU in the playoffs.
