I see you're another typically tolerant and open-minded liberal.

I'm not against government, I just believe in limited government as did the founding fathers. Our government is now operating way outside the original intent of the Constitution.
Being too far on either wing is dangerous and closed minded thinking.
But lets take this to the Poli Board please! We were already off topic a bit, and you just took it to a whole other level.

That's the way to debate!

I'm not reading 11 pages. Someone please explain how we got here from the original post.

At least we agree on something. I'm done with this thread. Can we all call a truce and just support our Tigers?

Got to give you credit for that one - pretty witty. Let's move on.

Which ones? The "all I do is watch Fox News and await further instructions because I can't think for myself and everything that is wrong with my pathetic life is someone else's fault" militia, or the "all I do is listen to Obama and await further instructions because I can't think for myself and everything that is wrong with my pathetic life is someone else's fault" militia? Because they're both pathetic.

The former, the latter have been silent regarding their devotion. Those who have tried to objectively defend professors and higher education have been labeled "liberal" blah, blah, blah.

Pal, if you observed my life, you'd find out that it's anything but pathetic. What about yours?

No misapplication at all. The handful of "researchers" are working, but most of the "professors" are sitting around planning where the next protest should be!

This is the dumbest post in the history of the rant...

how are so many people this pissed about a professor wishing his employer were more dedicated to his line of work? i wished my employer cared more about my department at work, and how much time and effort it takes to keep our company in the black. lsu is a university with an athletics program that has operated like an athletics program with a university for a long time, and the academics of the university have suffered. things are changing and athletics are helping to fund that change.

Must be true if Michael Savage said it. As a radio talk show host, he's clearly qualified as a shrink.

LSU is a tier I university. You don't get that just by being a football school.
