Was he just playing around at 1B? when PM saw him?
If you’ve payed attention, many people will play different positions to be ready because of COVID. Morgan had been the starting first baseman and if not Morgan it would have been Beloso. Try to follow.

And where was Coleman yesterday with the game on the line?
Oh now Coleman should have pitched yesterday instead of Ty Floyd who is a highly touted freshman. You love using hindsight

You flat out said PM had a gut feeling to put Helmers at 3rd because he picked some balls at 1st.

If Floyd stayed in and kept walking people you would have blamed PM. Because he didn’t stay in you can blame PM. That’s all you’re going to do either way.

Did you see PM’s reaction? What we saw on the field is not what people had seen in practice. It’s not my reasoning dude. PM said they played him at 3rd. During that time they liked what they saw compared to the others. I’m not sure what you don’t get about that. You’re the only one operating off gut feelings and hindsight. The coaches actually saw him during practice. You did not

quote:It would actually make sense because you learn if your freshman can work through some shite instead he went to the guy he knows doesn’t do well with inherited runners. Or at least I hope he knows that as the head coach. I would also hope he knows what positions his freshmen played in high school but he proved me wrong there already. So who knows.

Point being, you can’t (and haven’t tried) to defend either move. You’re relying on “well PM simply knows best.” You haven’t made a single actual argument for any move or decision.

How many errors did Helmers make in practice compared to the other guys competing for the job? Youve said plenty of things that are a dead giveaway that you weren’t attending practice.

This talented LSU squad shouldn't be losing to freaking AF opening weekend.

What do you know? They said Helmers was in our top 10 pitchers. You said he was removed from the pitching staff because he couldn’t cut it.
I’ve never said PM knows best but you clearly have no clue. The same argument can be made for seeing how Helmers responded to rough outings, right? LSU lost against AF and the bottom line is you would have blamed PM in one way or another whether Floyd was left in or not.

quote:Probably. Considering Hellmers allowed 3 unearned runs and he shouldn’t have been there to begin with.

Did the coaches feel he was in their top 10 pitchers when they made the decision to try someone else at 3rd base, yes or no?

Why am I always answering your questions and coming up with arguments? You gonna actually make one at some point other than “coaches know best”???
Seriously, are you Hellmer’s mom or grandma?

So why did PM lie and say that? What’s the benefit of saying that, “psycho?” And let me guess, PM just felt that by himself and AD wanted to cut him from the pitching staff, right?
You have not answered anything but you have made up a lot of nonsense based off of your “gut feelings” and hindsight.

What are you talking about? I never advocated for him to start.

I defended that the coach said he had been more solid defensively since they moved him to 3rd. Again, what would it benefit PM to lie about that and start him there if that had not been true? You’re whole “ego and gut feeling” excuse doesn’t hold any water.

I’m serious because it’s PM who talks about his gut feeling all the time. Post game interviews. Pre weekend interviews. It’s his shtick, not mine. You act like I pulled it out of thin air but it’s literally his go to when explaining his bad moves and sometimes the ones that work out.
