Wonderful. Huge win. Great job, ladies. Ali carried this team today as well as Allie Walljasper used to.

It’s wild.... these ladies have played one hell of a schedule so far, have won 4 of their 5 SEC Series and it still feels that they can play so much better.
They have taken series from:
Texas - Ranked
Tennessee - Ranked
A&M - Ranked
Ole Miss
Mizzou - Ranked
And in each one they have had an off game, but outside of that Florida series, they have battled.
Pitchers outside of Ali need to step up and the bats need to keep the fire shown today. GEAUX TIGERS.

Still got 7 straight road games left. @McNeese Tuesday, then a 3 game series @ Nc State, then @Kentucky

Don’t forget the series win over Louisiana as well

Damn it... great catch!

Fun Fact:
When Tidwell is in the lineup the average height of the infield is 5'10.25, whereas the average height of the '87 men's baseball team, Bertman's second CWS team, was only 5'9.25.
Idle thoughts and strange facts on a Sunday evening.

not sure what that girl was thinking cutting it off but ill take it
She could have let it go and not cut it off but I don't think they would have got her out.

This is fun
Did anything happen to Sunseri? I didn't follow all the game but saw she batted only once and Steward relieved her and batted 3 times. It also makes me wonder if she is hurt because Beth put Kilponen in in place of a rested Sunseri, which was a brilliant move.

Unless Sunseri comes back to form on the mound or Gorsuch or Wickersham step up, Beth could do worse making Kilponen the Friday and Sunday starter the rest of the regular season.
Okay, I’m his biggest critic but hats off to Dobson; 16 runs in two games against SEC pitching is great, even bad SEC pitching like Missouri. We still need to be a lot more consistent and I hope this weekend was a turning point. It’s either feast or famine, mostly famine.
I think we have our usual season. Host a regional and travel to a super. We can ride Ali to win a regional at home but I just don’t see us winning a super on the road.
We seem to have enough fans content with being a top 15-20 program. Most of the FB softball page is full of folks who set up a howl at informative and realistic posts they deem “negative.”
As long as we are hosting regionals, I just don’t see any hard-eyed mindset from the Athletic Department, Coach Torina, or most of the fans to ask the question—“What do we need to do to get over the hump and improve this program from top twenty to top five?”—and then act upon it.
That’s regrettable, but it is what it is.
