According to the broadcast, Beth sent her, but with the lack of production so far behind Jaquish, I can understand her decision.

Don't blame her trying I guess. It seemed like they had Dawson by a couple steps but she did have a nice dive over the glove of the catcher

When u have an offense struggling as bad as we are I don't blame her. Remember the first CWS under Beth? I think Andrews was sent home on an infield pop up. Caught them off guard and it won us the game

It also takes a perfect throw and catch to get her out and with Dawson's speed, why not send her... I've done it many times - some safe and some out.
