Not sure about the SEC record, but this is the longest game in both programs' history. I don't think an LSU baseball game has gone this many innings either.

16 innings is the LSU baseball record. It was done 3 times in the program history, the most recent being in the 2015 SEC Tournament against Bama. So, to answer the question, the 19 innings is the longest in school history from either side.

I believe Patrick Wright said 19 innings was SEC record for softball and we tied it. We broke school record for sure.

Walljasper set the record for innings pitch tonight in SEC play at 19. Previous record was done by Arkansas pitcher in 1999 with 16.

Some good games tomorrow. Florida and Alabama play at Noon i believe.

Georgiia barely beat Missouri. No weak teams in the SEC anymore. By the end of the season Missouri will be an improved team. I hope they make the NCAA tournament.

Back when the pitching distance was 40 feet instead of the current 43, low scoring extra inning games were normal.

The longest NCAA game was on May 11, 1991 in the Western Athletic Conference. Creighton defeated Utah (coached by current Aggie HC Jo Evans) 1-0 in 31 innings.

To make it even longer, Utah was undefeated in the double elimination tournament and had to play again 30 minutes later.

Game 2 went 25 innings and Utah won 4-3 at 6:10am.

That my friends is a marathon!

357.. here are this week's stats for our Houston area signees...

Georgia Clark (Stratford, record 9-11, 5-5 in 15-6A):
Lost to Klein 13-2... 2 for 2, 1BB, 1HR, 2RBI
Defeated Northbrook 20-5... DNP (not in box score)

Taylor Pleasants (Pasadena Dobie, record 19-7, 8-2 in 22-6A)
Beat South Houston 17-4... 1 for 1, 1BB, 1RBI
Beat Sam Rayburn 18-1... 1 for 1, 1BB, 1RBI

The teams they beat were all in bottom of district standings so their coaches got everyone playing time.
