Glad to see Griggs get a hit. Hopefully she can get out of her SEC slump

Nice to read a softball thread and not see the trolls and roaches involved. No need for them to show up when it was a given that LSU would win, I guess...
I am glad we had a big break-out inning...but damn we hit into some bad luck again for the most part tonight! Bell got robbed by the LF, Kloss got robbed by the CF, and there were other balls hit hard right at people. Our luck has to get better soon...I truly envision some arse-whippings to be administered in Starkpatch this weekend.
As for Corbello, yeah, duh, we won't see her much in SEC games. But she serves a very valuable role on this team, and I am sure she is fine with it. She is a pitcher who can eat up the innings in games like tonight so that Walljasper and Hoover don't have to. The kid could probably pitch somewhere else and transfer, like Selman did, but she loves LSU and kudos to her for staying even though her role is lesser than it was 2 years ago.

Yeah she walked a lot of people, but she kept the run count down, and managed to get out of there with a win. If she can get her control down, they could use her more. Hope she comes around. Other than that, though, Griggs, Simmons, Quinn,...just an all around good offensive performance.

Excellent post this could have been a much worse beating than it was but props to Southeastern for making some great defensive plays.

Good post, and true about Corbello, I think she accepts the reality of the situation. Hoover and Walljasper will do most of the work from now on. Has to be that way.

I was wrong. I submitted this post, then went back and saw that educote's sorry arse showed up. I knew I should have just went to bed.

Corbello is the 4th option and it sucks for her considering her value a couple of years back. We definitely do not make that Arizona Regional without her during that season. Her change up is filthy, but her command is just off sometimes. If she does leave, she has been a great ambassador for the ladies!
I think we will also see Smith a little this weekend as well if all goes to plan! Good win and

No she doesn't and no she isn't. If she is, she lacks the competitive nature needed to succeed. That goes for any one of the ladies riding the bench.

You think she will transfer out?

I think she is gone after the season because I am sure another great pitcher is coming in and she can go to McNeese or somewhere and be the Ace.

She isn't going anywhere. She will always be remembered for that Arizona regional, where she basically had to take on Arizona single-handed.
I think Corbello would absolutely dominate a league like the Southland. She could transfer to any school in that league and probably be in the running for pitcher of the year in the league...but I think she is happy with her role here and wants to graduate as a Tiger.

Her change up is nasty. Best I have ever seen in college. But it's her confidence that lacks. She just doesn't have the determination needed to compete at this level consistently.

You are an idiot. She is a junior. And you mention she transfers? After last year? Come on man. Stop posting stupid shite

It might work, it doesn't seem to be going well for Selman at Baylor, but they got Stearns there, and they got a rough schedule there too. I sure hope she (Corbello) stays. Imagine, just a freshman, and what she did that year. Aint nobody going to forget that soon.

She was amazing as a freshman.

I think she should have left after last year. The writing was on the wall. I think a few others should look at that same wall and make some tough decisions if playing college softball is really what they want to do.

Be careful there buddy, you will get ripped for suggesting anyone might transfer.
