Btw todays RPI is out, LSU is at #12
Need to take care of business this week
12 isn't a bad spot to be right now. Still have series left with #4 Florida, #7 Tennessee and #14 Texas A&M. The Baylor win will look good all year (they are #13) and the NDSU loss won't look so horrible. They are currently RPI #86, but any committee member who does their homework knows that NDSU is a good ball club who has a pitcher who beat Oklahoma in the regional last year. I don't think that loss will hang over our heads too much. Almost every team has a loss or 2 to a team outside the top 50.
Even with their 19-17 record, Missouri still has an RPI of 23. We definitely need to go take care of business up there. I sincerely hope it isn't a repeat of the Easter weekend massacre at Ole Miss last year. For some reason, we are the only series that doesn't have a game on Easter Sunday. You would figure some of the other schools would play 2 on Friday (which is a holiday) and one on Saturday and have Easter Sunday off.
I am optimistic that our bats will come alive against mediocre Missouri pitching. I may be wrong...but I am hopeful. Would love a sweep....maybe 2 out of 3 is ok...but losing this series is not a good option that would bode well for the future. If you told me right now that we would take 2 of the 6 games that we have left between Tennessee/Florida...I would take it and take my chances at sweeping one or 2 of the home series.
And it would be nice if Kentucky would jump back into the top 25 (currently 28) just to make those losses look a little better.

LSU is ridiculously hard to beat at home, only concern is performance on the road.
Missouri is very down this year but they have their moments when they do play will they are difficult for anyone
Mizzou is dead last in the SEC in pitching, we won't face really an easier staff the rest of SEC play so hopefully we can find success.
If we can't then it would be time to panic
But LSU needs to take 2 out of 3 at minimum, any less would be a failure for this weekend.
