Everybody is worried about the risk. Focus on the reward aspect as well. LSU gets an opportunity to get more of the intangible experience that I think helped them to beat Bama in Tuscaloosa in the first place. Playing Oregon and at WVU is what pushed LSU over the top in OT.
If LSU beats Saban twice this year to win the national title, it will completely destroy any ill feelings toward Miles and any nut licking feelings towards Saban by the media. It will make Miles not only match what Nick Saban did at LSU, but take that and run with it ten times better.
That would absolutely eat Saban's ego up alive...
And he deserves that.

Just because the voters will not want a re-match
If voters can vote someone in (with even the slightest bit of evidence they belong) and avoid an all SEC national championship, they'll do it. It's bad enough for the other conferences that the SEC kicks their arse in the BCSCG. They'll do what they can to keep that from happening. Besides, if they 'vote' another 1 loss team in, who will really be upset? The Gumps? Robert Smith?

LSU must run table
A one loss Okie State Big12 champion (the aftermath of the plane crash will be a talking point) or a one loss Stanford Pac12 champion (Luck and more Luck vs LSU D talking point) WILL get a look and possible move up if the anti-rematch talk gets going
I don't care as long as LSU wins out. IMO they are the best looking CFB team this season and will be able to defeat whoever they play. I just want LSU to win out and deal with the rest later

This is why Okie State losing to Iowa State is big, but not the final answer. They still have the play-in. OU losing to Baylor is bigger, because they can only play spoiler. The computer scores of either of them (as a 1-loss) when the smoke cleared are likely to be better than Bama (Okie State more clearly) - OU has lost 2 now, so Okie State has the only real shot to play in, if LSU wins out or even beats Arky and loses to UGA.
