they'll defend Miles for all his ineptness, but you try and defend Saban and the leeches come out in droves.
So they defend their own coach, but not Alabama's? Wow, how strange.

I have never called for his head, but do have my doubts. I am reserving any harsh criticism of him until the up coming season begins to unfold. He deserves that.
It is easy for unskilled/non-coaches to criticize the man......granted a monkey could see the obvious (i.e. clock management)

Wow, how strange.
I don't see coach Saban as the enemy like you tards do, I see him as a great college coach that I respect, and am thankful for all he has done for LSU. LSU would not be what it is today if not for him, they would still be back there with the Ole Misses and Miss. States. I'm sorry he went to Bama, but at the end of the day, you gotta do what you gotta do. Takeoff your P&G sunblinders.

The only reason I even talk about him on this board is to debunk the myths that the mother fricker walked on water. You could just as easily say that LSU (rather Louisiana high schools) made Saban. People knew less about him when he got here than they did Miles.
Honestly...i couldn't give a rats arse about Saban. If his name is never mentioned on this board again it would be too soon. The dude's dick must be sore from all the tugging it recieves on here.

see, more trashing and obvious jilted lovers syndrome, nothing personal Choctaw, but you guys just don't respect the fact what this man has done for LSU, it's always BS, I know his history, he was a great coach at every school he started coaching improving all their programs before he left.
If somehow Miles left and went to Michigan his great love, I think Saban might try to get out of his contract with Bama and leave for LSU, him and his wife loved living in BR, especially his wife who has a large number of GF's and friends still in BR.

I respect the coach and what he accomplished at LSU....however, i do not respect the man.

I know his history
This doesn't surprise me. You probably know his address and which windows are to his bedroom too.

This is just not true.

So what he did here means NOTHING to how the program is now?????????/ I highly doubt Miles could have taken LSU to where Saban did after Saban got here.

he shouldn't...just like i don't give a frick about him. I cared when he was here wearing purple & gold but that was 6 years ago.

im not crying about it....i couldn't care less. You're the one constantly bringing his name up.

Why would he have to??? Is that your problem?? That he doesn't give a shite about LSU????????

I was just responding to tubucoco's wet dream of Saban trying to get out of his contract to come back to LSU.

sounds like it, you bring the name up they snap.

FWIW I don't want him back. He did his thing and THANK YOU NICK. Do I think he is a better coach than Miles??? YES. The last two years have settled that for me.
Posted on 7/8/10 at 12:28 pm to Choctaw
oh, now I'm having wet dreams, ok. see what I mean about the insult thing?

I have to give you one thing Choctaw, you are a perpetual motion machine on this topic.
I don't agree with many of your posts, but at least you are there spouting it out hour by hour...day by day.

Whoever is coaching our conference opponents is always the enemy.

He can be all that, which he is, and still be the enemy, which he is.

Doubtful. He played a huge part in our resurgence, but it's ridiculous to think no one else could have done it, or that we would be Ole Miss or Mississippi State. We flirted with that danger back in the early '90s, but Gerry DiNardo saved us from it. With Emmert hiring a coach in 2000, we would have wound up with a good one even if it hadn't been Saban.

I'm sorry he went to Bama, but at the end of the day, you gotta do what you gotta do.
Of course. I don't blame him for leaving for the NFL or for going to Alabama afterward. I consider him the enemy because he coaches at a school that is in our division. I completely respect and appreciate what he did at LSU, but that's in the past. In the present, he coaches one of our opponents, which makes him the same as Meyer, Petrino, Nutt et al.

I think he would have succeeded eventually wherever he went, but LSU certainly gave him the opportunity to show his ability on the biggest stage.

I think he was probably at least about even in that respect. Michigan State is a higher profile job than Oklahoma State, and he had some high profile wins there just like Miles did at OSU.
