The real question is do the voters look at what they know or what they expect? The voters know that LSU beat Bama by 3 in OT. The voters expect LSU will stomp OSU, although no one knows, since a game has not been played between the two this year. So, if ESPN wants to keep a viewing audience for 4 quarters, it hopes for the NCBCS match-up that will hold viewers for the longest time-- the expectations are that Bama has a better chance than OSU--

I'd be honored to have our Tigers whip whoever is deemed to be the #2 team in the country!

If Trent can have his heisman moment against almost an unranked team on a team that did not win its division than OSU can certainly have a let down game after a tragedy

Actually a decent talking point.

It is actually a really awful talking point.

Yeah, it made no sense whatsoever.

have they not said all year, that the Big Twelve was better than the SEC?.

Maybe from top to bottom. But LSU, Alabama and Arkansas may very well be the 3 best teams in the nation. LSU is #1 and undefeated. Bama is #2 and only lost to #1 LSU. Arkansas has only lost to #1 LSU and #2 Bama. The top 2 Big XII teams (OU and OSU) lost to unranked teams and the 3rd best team (K-State) is 7 points from being a 5-loss team.

WTF

Trents team, ALABAMA, is runner up in the SECW and therefore not even a conference winner. His supposed Heisman Moment came against Auburn who is barely ranked at the time #24 (I'm sure not ranked now. (Keep in mind the day before LSU disposed of #3 easily but you heard more about bama being in the BCSNCG being in the clubhouse and Trent wining the Heisman than your heard about LSU)

If we can have that shite going on then why cant we forgive a loss by the norrowist of margins (Some say the FG was made) by OSU on the road after a terrible tragedy....

What dont you get?

Bama won, OSU lost. 200 yards rushing is impressive no matter who it is against The fact it was his last game made it as much a Heisman moment than anything.

If Trent had gained 50 yds vs Auburn and still won the award, I would see your point and call it "apples to apples."

Comparing a player who did well vs an average team vs one who lost to an avg team?
Actually makes no sense. The rest of it does make a few good points, however.

I had it making sense earlier in my head. Maybe it's not quite right though.

But basically they are saying you CAN'T lose to an average team. Then in the next breath saying "OMG did you see what Trent did to an average team?!?!"

Not if you take care of business and place ALL of the pressure on the other team to do the same.
