It doesn't even take a loss. If we barely cover the spread or struggle with one phase of the game, this place goes ape shite.

Won't be a blowout, but I think LSU can play smart enough to do one of those "keep-it-close-but-pull-away-with-a-late-rushing-TD-or-two" type games.

That's exactly it. I get that Wisconsin is a good football team, but people on here act so nervous because we have new skill players on offense, especially after the shitty years with JJ and JL on offense, but Wisconsin has an entire new defense. I think that our offensive guru will be able to design a game plan that will be successful against a green defense that features a new DC.

As long as Miles is the HC I will be confident that LSU wins it's season opener.

LSU wins, but not in a blow out. Our QB situation scares me, but I think the Oline will dominate and defense will play good enough. What excites me about this team is they are only going to get MUCH better over the season (new WR&QB). If LSU survives early...look out!

I'm not wearing the purple and gold shades like some people. It's been what? 12 years since we lost an opener? Virginia Tech? It's unreasonable to think we will go on forever winning openers against ranked opponents.

I think we are vulnerable. Obviously huge question marks at QB, WR. Also worried about Dline and LB.

I predict a very Iowa like game with a similar result. I think we sneak out a low scoring close win. I am very worried about the game. They are a formidable opponent with a heisman caliber RB.

Wisconsin is much better than Iowa, just let that sink in. It will be painfully close.

This shows you don't really have much of an idea as to what you are talking about. Iowa's defense last year is going to be significantly tougher than the Wisconsin defense that we will face this year.

Comparing a team last year to a team this year is about the most irrelevant thing you could possibly compare.

There are three teams on our schedule that I think have a really good shot at beating us this year. Alabama, Florida, Auburn. We should not lose anymore than 3 games.

You think Florida has a "really good shot" at beating us but Wisconsin, Ole Miss, A&M do not?

We should not lose any more than 3 games? Are you a coach? How on earth do you have any idea how good we are?

Some of you need to get some perspective. We can honestly finish anywhere from 12-0 to 6-6.

And what's your analysis based on Coach?

Wisconsin, Ole Miss and A&M aren't anywhere near the level of Auburn, Alabama or Florida right now. Yes, Florida had a shitty year last year. If you think that means the game at the swamp won't be A LOT tougher than Ole Miss, Wisconsin and A&M at this point you aren't very knowledgeable.

Tigers by 10....Wisky doesn't have enough offensive firepower to keep up.

What does this have to do with the outcome of a football game played 4 months from now?

what I wrote from this topic last week:

"All they have is the run game. They lose a lot on defense (entire front seven), have problems with special teams, lose their top wideout, second leading receiver in TE Pedersen, and third leading receiver in RB White (all having at least 300 yards and 2 TDs). Not to forget their fourth leading receiver is also gone. They also lose a safety and moves the other safety (their return leading tackler) to LB. Despite having a QB who had decent stats, nearly 2500 yards 22 TD 13 int, he is having a hard time keeping his job."

That team coming down to LSU will be another dead meat opener. TCU game should have been over early last year. UNC game was early at halftime, then we slacked up. We demolished Oregon worse than the score indicated. We went all the way up to Seattle and played a late game and beat Washington worse than the score indicated. I mean as long as we don't get complacent, we'll skull drag them by 20. People are forgetting that sans last year's passing game, we've dominated teams by multiple TDs by mostly playing stifling defense, and ramming the ball down their throats.
