this is easy, i don't even have to say anything. just copy and paste

So should everyone in North Carolina root for NC State? They shouldn't root for UNC Chapel Hill, because they represent the city of Chapel Hill.

Those people are bitches too. Support the school that's giving you your education.

I don't recall my school's athletic program having anything to do with my education. (Unless you want to take the outside argument of generated funds, but that's beside the point).

I support the SLU academic program 100%.

Why does it matter who people hate? Most people I know from UL actually wish the Tigers well in every game except when we occasionally play each other. You guys on here take the minority and make it the majority.

Yeah I know but Nick's making a lot of sense here. What's more of a douchebag move - wearing LSU gear on ULL's campus (douchey, certainly), or yelling "Go Bulldogs" or "Go Gators" or "Go Commodores" to said person wearing LSU gear on campus, every single week, depending on said team's opponent?

Certainly equally douchey if not more. Just like students of a given school should pull for that school first and foremost (I agree with this), they should also worry more about their own team than another team.

That is douchey, but I bet that's happened to that little queer once and he's exaggerating it to make it seem like all fans are like that. I'd say at least 75% of our fans really don't care enough.

horrible analogy. Louisiana has 1 big school when it comes to sports, NC has a lot. 9/10 people in Louisiana are LSU fans. maybe 1/500 are ULL fans. Completly different situation than UNC and NC State

Luckily for me, nobody at Southeastern cares about LSU. I actually used my Southeastern student I.D. to get into the LSU-SLU baseball game at SLU last season wearing all my LSU gear, and got absolutely no crap whatsoever.

I went tailgate at the ULL/Southern game since LSU was playing so late. I went wearing my LSU gear of course, being that we were going straight from there to where I was watching the LSU game. I was about to go stand in the student line with my old ULL student ID and get in wearing my LSU shite just to start crap. My cousin wanted to go into the game to see the Southern band though so I let him use my id to get in. I'm sure I would have taken some serious shite for doing this, but it would have been ok cause I would have egged it on. I can't wait till Saturday..

The rebuttle to this statement is: "why does there only have to be one?"

Virginia Tech was NOTHING until Beamer went around campus and instilled a sense of pride amongst the student body and then backed it up by bringing in talent, showing them that newly-frenzied atmosphere, and then winning games with that talent.

Certainly LSU is on another level than UVA athletically, but the argument is: why shouldn't the smaller in-state schools try and build something they can be proud of? Why does there only have to be 1?

This argument has come and gone on this website for 100 years, so I'm just going ahead and getting the talking points out there.

Translation: I'm losing this argument, so I'll just commence the flaming.

its always going to be this way because there are too many small schools in the state all competing against eachother and holding eachother back.
