I'll be decked out in LSU gear, of course.

I have a friend who graduated from UVA and still lives up there. He came for the VA tech game last year to see TS (VERY impressed) and to see his hated rivals get pummelled (VERY impressed).

I figure it'll get ugly quick, but, who knows, I may witness history akin to the Stanford game!!

UVA beating USC at home is 10 times more likely than that loss to Stanford in LA.

Yeah, but how sweet to see USC dashed to start the season, then beats OSU!

remember the UVA-FSU game a few years back when UVA wasnt supposed to be within 30 points of #1 ranked FSU? The rest, as they say...

The UVA grads that I know - and I work with a bunch of them - are pretty bummed about this coming season. They lost a lot from last year and really weren't that good then, winning 5 games by 2 points or less.

The guys I know are just praying they don't get too embarassed this weekend.

You hearing the same thing from the UVA people you know?

Yeah, I lived up there a while and still follow them somewhat. That's a pretty good assessment. They are not supposed to do much at all this year. Groh is feeling some heat. . .

Yeah i have only been to one college football game that lsu wasnt playing in (OK ST @ UT)
it was pretty boring to me lol i was also decked out in Purple and Gold, Downstairs watching the LSU @ Tenn game jumping up and down lol ppl were looking at me like wtf? but that was a great night after we won, although if Texas would of loss, it would of been 10x better.

I graduated from UVA and may be at the game this Saturday. USC is going to pound UVA. UVA lost some starters for academic and legal reasons and they don't have much talent at the skill positions. Believe it or not, Scott Stadium has been a tough place for opponents since Groh has been there, but UVA just doesn't have the talent to match up with the big boys.

I hope LSU can one day schedule a home and home with UVA...would be great to see them play up this way.

by the way, that UVA team that beat FSU was incredibly talented..much more so than this year's team. not comparable situations.

Not necessarily, Sanchez will be out and there are not great reports on Mustain or Corp. I see it as a W for USC, but not a blow out.

Sanchez will play. He threw with the 1st team yesterday adn even dove on a fumbled snap. He is scheduled to get 70% of the snaps is practice tomorrow.

MJRuffalo, what did you think of the SI article that said all the USC QBs not named Sanchez look really bad?

They are going against the best D in the nation, so I would not expect them to look good. Some of the problems have been in the offensive line but now that Byers is back he should really solidify that unit. I would be completely confident in any of them vs. Virginia. We need Sanchez vs. Ohio St. though. My next choice would be Corp.

Corp's a gamer and a winner. Played in the toughest league in the toughest conference in the nation in high school and led his team to a state title with only 1 loss. Mustain has the physical tools but the decision making is not there.

Easy now. No one has even played a game yet. Pretty hard to claim best D just yet.

How about this. They are going against, at least on paper, the best D in the nation. Happy?

Yeah, the article suggested that Mustain wasn't going to be the #2 QB.

Mustain's mom must be wondering what she did, now that Petrino is at Arkansas and her boy looks to be the #3 QB at USC 2 years after leaving the Razorbacks.

Yea, but if Mustain had stayed then Nutt likely would not have been fired. I'll be honest when I heard Mustain was looking to transfer to USC, I was like wtf???, There was alway a realistic chance he would never see the field. I thought he should have went to Oklahoma, but then Bradford had his great year so what do I know. My second choice for him would be to go to Hawaii. Throw the ball 50 times a game, away from all the media, live on the islands for a few years. It could be worse.

USC the best defense in the nation? How do you figure? And again, media praising USC's out of confernce schedule like it is something special. Like the last couple of years, Nebraska and Notre Dame were not worth a shite, and everybody knew it. And now this year with fricking powderpuff Virginia and always overrated Notre Dame off a big 3 win campaign. Oh but wait, that rough and tumble Virginia game is on the road, wow. Even with our nothing non-conference schedule, we play 2 top five teams and another top ten in Auburn, along with several other difficult SEC games, some on the road. Then if we win the west, another top 5 team probably in SECCG.
