Happens every year. Players not expected to be part of the post season roster are already playing for their Summer teams.

Battle Creek starting pitcher Hunter Devall (LSU) hit the first batter of the contest, but was lights out for the rest of his outing. A relief pitcher with the Tigers this season, Devall tossed nine strikeouts over four hitless innings before his pitch count forced him to exit.
“There was a little pressure coming in. I didn’t know how it was going to be, I haven’t been starting in college,” Devall said. “Coming in here and getting the opening day start is pretty awesome, and I’m glad that they had the confidence in me to do it.”
