Does anyone know of a safe place to stay? I know Atlanta isn't as bad as New Orleans but I'm looking at traveling with another female.
Safety=utmost importance
I would stay in midtown if I wanting to be "in downtown" area. Buckhead is safe...but not "two women alone walking around" safe.
I would even consider the Dunwoody/Perimater Center area. MARTA train takes you right to the Dome from there...and there is tons of great shopping at Perimeter Mall there....and every hotel chain imaginable. It is the largest business district in the suburbs.

Well...since we are young, a little beaten up, and have the new schemes...we often times look very different week to week in 2008. We have had games where everything clicked...and games where everything fell apart. The good news for us is we graduate no starters on offense and only 3 on defense for next season.
LSU has tons of talent...tons. As I was pointing out in an earlier posting we have only had one recruiting class in the Top 50 for the past five years...and LSU average spot is 9. So...LSU has loads of talent. I know that you guys have not lived up to where you wanted to be for the regular season....but I also know enough about football that if a bunch of talented players come together for a Saturday...they can beat anyone in the country. Les Miles is a good coach...and the players are in place.
Will this be the LSU team that played Bama or Florida?
Will this be the GT team that played UNC or UGA/Miami?
I guess we will find out December 31...it should be one heck of a game!

Georgia Tech is a great program with a great fan base. I was as proud as heck of them when they beat Georgia this year. I was really pulling for them in that game because it had been so long since Ga Tech beat Georgia. This Ga Tech win over Georgia is a devastating loss for Georgia this season. The Georgia fans thought that THIS was their year to win the BCS NC! Their loss to Ga Tech is like a knife to their Bulldog Heart!
LSU's players and coaches have been beaten, bruised, embarrassed, humiliated and ridiculed for weeks and weeks now. At some point, even a tired and beaten old Tiger is going to wipe its bitter tears away and strike one last ferocious blow . . . one last slashing attack to avenge every insult and humiliation heaped upon its battered reputation in 2008 . . . I hope that Georgia Tech's football team gets every ounce of LSU Tiger Vengeance that can be poured from a LSU Tiger Heart that's tired of the Bitter Taste of Defeat . . . a LSU Tiger Heart that Hungers to taste Sweet Victory one last time in 2008.
The Yellow Jackets better hope that the LSU Tiger football team feels no Hunger for Victory on New Year's Eve.

Look for GT to be favored in the game.

quote:And in what way would that be any different than last summer, coming off a National Championship?
That means alllll off season and well into the spring game it will be miserable. Doubts and second guessing of coaching decisions, both past and present, will be never ending over the summer going into the season.

LSU wins by a comfortable margin, 10-14 points.
