Navy I couldn't agree more with your post. There is a reason Miles gets paid almost 3x's what Cam gets paid and almost 8x's what any other coach on his staff gets paid that is because the buck stops at his office. He is responsible for what is put on the field GOOD & BAD.

It is his responsibility to fix it, if he can't he has to go simple as that!

you do understand in the business world when people are not doing the job they were hired to do there is a very likely chance they get fired don't you

What has Miles not done that he is paid to do?

Did Malzahn or Mullen fire their pool boys and call Chavis too?

How would one know if Chavis was in the game or not?

You and navy only half agree. Yall say he's the head coach when anything negative happens, but yall seldom give him credit for everything he's done well.

Explains why Chief's defense was AWOL during the bowl game. My gut tells me the players knew of this before the bowl game as well.

Is it against the rules for LSU to get first down? I heard that leads to more plays and TOP.

Also, remind me: was LSU favored because Notre Dame had a particularly bad offense or defense?

Another Les hater making excuses for Chavis's "gameplan" for the bowl.

You know what else leads to more TOP? Not giving up 11 out of 17 third downs and not allowing two drives to use up 30 plays and an entire quarter of time.

Perhaps it is a matter of context.

In some instances, the Miles supporters (a.k.a. "pumpers") tend to look at the overall body of work.

Those that may criticize/question Miles (a.k.a. "negatigers") may be considering an individual game or season.

I was under the impression that this thread was about the ND bowl game. LSU lost. Miles is the Head Coach...ultimately, it is on him.

Similarly, he beat Florida this year ... gotta give him credit for that victory. LSU won.

I don't hate Miles or want him fired (at the moment), but I don't think he should get a pass on all matters either simply because of his overall body of work at LSU.

I freely admit that I would not have shed a tear had he left for Michigan....either time.

Notre Dame first drive of the game, 15 plays 8 minutes off the clock, and a TD. How are you going to blame that shite on anybody but the defense?

I do blame the defense; that was atrocious ... just not sure that I can fairly conclude that it is because of Chavis' alleged intentional/unintentional incompetence.

ND scored 21 in the first half, and had 10 (FG and late TD) to go with four punts in the second half.

What was Chavis doing at half-time? Some here would probably allege that he was practicing Aggie cheers and such.

The defense was hot garbage in the bowl game, and is why we lost.

The defense definitely contributed to losing the game but Notre Dame had the ball for 37mins in the game to LSU's 23mins. You don't think that had the slightest thing to do with our loss??????

LSU drives that amounted to nothing with little time taken off the clock.

3plays & 1min 29sec taken off the clock.
7plays & 3min 2sec taken off the clock
3plays & 1min 3sec taken off the clock
8plays & 3min 59sec taken off the clock

So you don't think those series had anything to do with the outcome of the game. Do you realize that LSU scored 14pts in at total of 26seconds? Our offense is set up to ground and pound their defense we didn't not do that for the most part. Granted LSU's defense gave up some very long drives but LSU only had one drive that was over 5mins and it was the one before the half that netted us zero points thanks to a horrible officiating call and an official in the replay booth with a tampon string between his legs!

That game was a team loss!!!!

Can't say that ... it will piss people off unless you add "except for Head Coach Miles, of course"
