For those that don’t want to fire Mainieri, how much longer are you going to be ok without winning a title? 2009 was a long time ago.

Coach Mainieri has won more games during the past ten seasons than any other program in D1.
Coach Mainieri and his team finished number 2 last year.
There is no reason to get angry with Mainieri with the results of his team this season. Every coach in college baseball gets a free "down year" card every 7-10 years.
I would imagine , needs will be addressed next season and Eric Walker will be back. Swallow this year and contain the frustrations for now. This team is not ready.
Let's look forward to football and then obviously men's basketball.

LSU will likely never win another national title with PM at the helm. The 09 team was so good, even he couldn't screw them up.

When to pull a pitcher is his biggest weakness and that is hard to stomach week in a week out. He lost the game today when we had it, same story, late in the game, pitcher gets knocked hard by a couple batters and no one up in the pen, then Dunn comes out, talks, goes back and the next batter hits a homerun or has a game winning hit and we're now losing... then Maneri comes in and changes the pitcher and we lose.
