Well, if you believe that, then you should be concerned by the fact that the O-line and LB play have been horrendous over the last two seasons. Last year's O-line was the worst in recent memory.

LSU just had it's first Linebacker drafted since Brady James signed with LSU in 1999. In fact, Perry Riley went in the exact same spot as Bradie James did in the Draft. Kelvin Sheppard is looking very much like a High second round draft pick next year.

The OL? Yeah Miles team had a bad year. The others were great, with the 1,000 rushers. Saban..well he had Vincent go for 1,000 once, that was it. Then in 2004, Saban let him get fat..

Your contributions to the thread were typically lame. Why did you post if you didn't care to answer the question?

Just had to weigh in with your Miles hate? I knew you would help me prove you have nothing to add (or refuse to do so). How hard is it to just say how you think we get out of the current jam? Instead you link the Ole Miss game. That was a fantastic contribution thanks.

Right cause you saying he's as sharp as a marble solves everything. He's either smarter than you or you're a huge under achiever. I don't remember the last time you were on TV so I can't compare you two very well.

I don't care who coaches the team, I'll try and support them. I haven't seen a perfect LSU coach yet but if they are the guy with the job then that's who I'll try and support.

No, stating that does not solve the problem, it states the problem. Solving the problem can be done in one of two ways, remove the idiot at the top of the heap or surround the idiot with an idiot proof layer of coaches.

The AD needs to take the reins and implement one of the two. If not, replace the AD and start the process from there.

The AD was just replaced, so don't expect a change there in the near future. And FYI, the AD chosen to lead the LSU Athletic Dept has a less than stellar track record for hiring (and firing) coaches.

No. I'd like to have a rational conversation. That doesn't & can't happen on this board.

I'm having to rush & go back. Funny, you aren't are you? Why is that? You are just part of the Gang-pack & Group-think mentality of this board.

Yes, I do realize my position is not popular with the Rant Chillren..

Exactly why i started this thread. I don't think people even know what they're saying anymore. They just repeat the latest hate they read somewhere.

Yes, another tactic of someone who can't make an argument is to insult those who disagree. I don't care what your postion is, back it up with real arguments, not specially selected stats to make a strange and untenable claims.

As for the talent level, here are the number of LSU players drafted and the number of first rounders since 1998. Pretty clear when the talent level started to rise, especially if you can figure out when the players were signed by LSU. To be eligble for the NFL draft, you have to be 3 years out of HS, leaving a 3 year window basically given redshirts with most players being 4 years out of HS.. So some one drafted in 98 would have been signed in 93, 94 or 95, a 99 draftee was singed in 94, 95 or 96 etc.

98 3-1
99 3-1
00 2-0
01 3-0
02 5-1
03 4-0
04 7-1
05 3-1
06 5-1
07 5-4
08 7-1
09 6-1

Yep. I've looked at posts from back in January of '05. It was pretty clear even then, many of these people were not even going to give this "New guy" a chance. Miles brings LSU a National Championship, and they treat him like dog shite.

while there where not message board in 99, lots of people were not happy with the new coach in 99. That always happens.

During and after the 2007 season most people on here gave Miles praise, dig up Speedy's old thread detailing is record. Most that have "turned" on him, have done so in the past 2 years. In 1998 Phil Fulmer won a NC and his 2nd strait SEC title (last coach to accomplish that I do believe). in the 10 years after he made 1 more BCS bowl and had 1 other season with a shot at a NC. He made and lost 3 more SEC CG, including 1 in 2001 with a NC on the line against a team he had already beaten that year by 13. The past is over, the concerns rational people have are about the future and about that, no one is certain.

I know that, so does my 5 year old niece. I also know that 2 > 1, and that 3 > 1. What I also know, that you are apparently do not, is that facts like those alone is meaningless with out context. But you keep on picking those cherries.
