Sure kid, whatever you say. You need to get a joint account with the peewee footbal coach Nuts. You two are peas in a pod. Nothing but bitching and revisionist bullshite. Nothing constructive or supportive of LSU. You and those like you are jokes.

The situations are not the same. That said, plenty of teams/coaches have needed help to get to the title game. If Lousiville beats Rutgers or USC beats UCLA in 06, Florida and Urban Meyer don't get a title. In 08, if 2 out of USC, Texas and Penn State win close games over OSU, TT and Iowa, Florida is out, it happens, I don't hold it against Les.
You dont say. Funny, you and the other CLM haters trot it out like its direct from the Bible to try and support your vendetta. And BTW, the situations are exactly the same. LSU needed help to get into the NCG both times whether you or the other deadheads like it or not.

It was closer in 03, just go see who the AP champs were.

Slice it any way you want to kid. If LSU "backed in" in 07 they backed in in 03 too. You can scream to the heavens that it was "different in 03" all you want to. It wont make it fact.
He just did slice it up. The odds were much more favorbale in '03. We had ONE loss vs. TWO (two loss team had never gotten into the title game). We did not back into anything in '03. We lost at the right time and we were a dominant team almost every game. In 2007, lots of things happened that allowed us to waltz into New Orelans against an overrated Buckeye team. Remember UK and UT's 24 overtime game? Had UK beaten them, we would have caught UGA instead...a team on a major roll at the time...and we know what playing a hot UGA while we were cold in their backyard is like, don't we?
2003 and 2007 are NOT comparable. Yes, both mean the same at the end of the day, but I am with those Tiger fans who feel 2003 was totally earned and 2007 was almost like, "Jesus...we lose the last game of the regular season, scrape by against an inferior UT team, and now we're in the damn thing? Ha!"

Did you wake up that Sat morning in Atlanta and think at the end of the night, LSU was going to be in the BCS c'ship? I surely didn't. I flew into ATL at about 8 am...got to a bar...and saw that Lesticles was leaving to go to UM according to Herbstreit. The LAST thing I was thinking about was playing in a title game.
In 2003, I knew the stakes...and they were obtainable. It wasn't like we all didn't know that Boise was going to go over to Hawaii and rape the living shite out of them.
The only theme both seasons (and all seasons) have in common is that we needed help in other games. That happens every year. It even happens fpr a chance to play in the damn conference c'ship game.

The solution is to plan on Miles being out within 2 years barring an SEC championship. The admin should not renew (and they haven't) the contract for Miles. In the meantime they should be attempting to track down top tier talent so that we can get first choice when the time is right.
To think a coach wouldn't want to coach here based on Miles's BCS title is crazy. All it takes is a highlight reel and a tape of quotes to convince any candidate that we are justified in ridding ourselves of him.
The fact of the matter is that I personally overlooked a lot during his first years bc he won. But the lack of improvement, the lies, and the cluelessness that appears among our coaches and team are unacceptable. There is too much $ involved to not be represented to our utmost potential as a flagship university.
