I would say kirklin needs to be rotated with McMath boutte. But
Marshal jenkins need to stay in and develop some chemistry and consistency.

Gilbert and emery need to be staples.

I agree with brennan throwing to carter, boutte, and palmer when it counted.

You use all your pieces and let it fall on them can play like your only receiving threat is marshal and gilbert and you become predictable.

Try and keep the top guys in but you don't change or hesitate to throw to a guy if he is in the game and the best read. Need to take him out replace with someone else b4 u out him in and don't utilize him.

This drops are not on brennan. That's receiver fault and they should be publicly apologize to there team mate for not being reliable when their numbers were called.

And definitely not "personnel for a play"

The Old Les Miles/Cam Cameron way. What was so good about last year was that the players knew multiple positions and cold run plays on the fly (See Chase at RB).

THAT is what made the O so dangerous, they were able to find mismatches and play so fast.

The fact that we start drives with backups at the WR and TE position makes ZERO sense. Sub them out and spell them when they are tired or during long drives, not just because that is the “rotation” at WR. This isn’t the D line.

But then again maybe after an offensive drive, the defense then gives up scores to fast so the offense is still tired lol

It’s clear that Marshall and Gilbert are the best two receiving threats this year, but it gets muddy beyond that. I would expect to see a lot of different bodies until a reliable 3rd and 4th option emerge.

Boutte should be in. I can see this guy getting the hang of things on a weekly basis which is why he jumped so many guys for the top spot in the beginning. Jenkins and McMath should be a fight for the #2 WR spot.

Emery should be THE back. Price should spell him and Curry should get late game clean up, but I doubt that happens this year with that defense.

Amen.

If we're being honest, guys like Jontre, Koy and TPalmer need to play very few series while we are in competitive matchups. That's just the reality.

Marshall should always be on the field, Gilbert has to be threatening the middle and finding his matchups, Racey has logged the experience and is probably the most complete WR in terms of being a fast & physical receiving threat but also being a great blocker in the Run game, and Boutte & Jenkins are clearly the 3rd and 4th best true wideouts on the team IMO.

That's the 5 options at WR/TE that LSU needs to have on the field for 95% of the snaps, and really that number should be 100% when in competitive games.

I saw times where we subbed out one WR as the only sub in between plays. It's not like HS where they're running in plays. No reason to do that when you are moving the ball. You give the defense the ability to sub for essentially no reason.

At this point 1,6 & 10 have shown the most. Those 3 plus 2 at te. Thing is these coaches have in the past played seniors pretty consistently. Another big problem i see is it seems like Brennan locks onto one receiver for several plays in a row and doesn't really use more than one read.
