No we are talking about the only acceptable way that rest days are counted

quote:Of course he will pitch. I doubt it will as deep or as extended as usual. It’s not just a matter of going on 3 days rest (4 if you count it the wrong way), but it’s going on 3 days on the back of going on 4 days the last time out.
I get what you are saying. But do you think he is not going to start tomorrow and pitch deep?

You sound like a volly some lately. That's not how it works.

Thursday was game day. Monday is game day. In the pitching rotation schedule each "day of rest" has its own work/recovery protocol for that day. In between Thurs and Mon is Fri-Sat-Sun. That is 3 days' rest.
This is not a good thing by the way. Skenes will not be at his best if he pitches tomorrow. This will be two outings in a row with significantly reduced rest. He has said over and over this season that the quantum improvement in his performance this season over last year is directly attributable to the much improved rest and recovery time he has at LSU vs. what was available to him at Air Force.
Jay and Wes, and Skenes, should be abundantly cautious here. The kid has a multi-million future ahead of him. In the long view, this game tomorrow is just not worth risking that future over. Skenes ain't some TD Rant poster who will just go back to installing cable TV or his beer route on Tuesday.
Just had to throw my 2 cents in.
