Aranda reminds me of Saban how he describes coverages/packages.

The main difference being he's not a raging a-hole.

You can tell Aranda is very intense guy though.

Great hire.

Aranda will go down as one of the best moves Miles ever made in his time at LSU.

Maybe the best.

I'm convinced Aranda is some kind of jedi.

The best defenses LSU has had has fed off of players making big plays. The 2011 defense always got rolling when TM7 made a huge play or caused a turnover. This Aranda coached defense, paired with Coach O's aggressive D-Line is definitely the recipe for a nasty, highlight reel defense. I agree that there will be a few growing pains but overall it will be a dominant and fun defense to watch!

I think the defense is going to be a blast to watch. And I'm glad he's paying more attention to our LB's. We've had some great ones but that position has taken a slide in talent and depth over time.

As a side note, I am looking forward to see what kind of D Auburn (Steele) will have? Interesting to see the improvement

There’s great flexibility. There are guys that can rush and drop. There’s a willingness to play straight up. There’s the ability to slant an angle. We can line up with just four down and beat guys and get to the quarterback, which makes all the other stuff that we do that much better. I think the back end (the secondary) is very talented. When healthy, it will be the most talented back end I’ve been around. And so the ability to disguise and show one thing and hold it late and get to another with our ability to cover is going to be pretty good.”

Yeah, auburn definitely got a downgrade. Steele is just an average coach.

Too often coaches try to fit the players into their system and not their system to their players.

Like Steele?

Thanks Auburn!
