As I understand it, there is nothing in the SEC rules addressing this kind of situation. SEC may have to make a ruling.

We would be expecting an awful lot if we think the SEC office will do something like that. They should have giving UF a deadline to make a decision. Instead they let UF wait until there was no choice but to cancel the damn game.

If LSU finishes 6-1 and Bama finishes 7-1, Bama would still go to the championship game even with a loss to LSU.

They absolutely have to announce a rule change now (or before the next SEC game), in the case that the game cannot be made up. head to head wins, not percentage.
Or you put a W in both win columns.
I don't have much faith in the SEC but the melt would be 20 times more ferocious if LSU was held out of the game on a technicality that was established on the assumption that all teams would have the same amount of SEC games.

Do you really think Bama will win @Arkansas @Tenn and beat A&M in a 4 week stretch that includes LSU?

Pretty sure its been at least 5 seasons since the last time Alabama lost 2 out of 4 games.

So yea, its plausible.

Don't you think we're putting the cart before the horse a bit here?

I mean, we've played 3 of the worst teams in the SEC and lost to one of them. We still have 4 of the best teams we will face all year left on the schedule. I'm pissed we're not playing this weekend too, but the odds of this actually costing us an SEC championship and playoff birth are almost nil.

You are probably right but slim odds are better than no odds. Correct? You don't want to be nearly mathematically eliminated because a hurricane is wrecking someone else's shite.
