"What makes Fournettes stats so impressive is that it came against two SEC western conference foes, which is considered the toughest division in college football.

Derrick Henry at 2 is laughable. He's not a top 5 back in the SEC IMO. For such a big guy, he doesn't get enough yards after contact. He needs a bit of time to build momentum. His only real strength is downhill running.

Henry (and Bama too, for that matter) is going to be incredibly handicapped by Kiffin's playcalling. Sims and Cooper ain't walking through that door.

Henry is a great back, but he isn't close to what we are used to in Bama backs. Hes no Ingram, Richardson, or Lacy. Heck, not even Yeldon.

LONG way to go this season. Plus there is a rough and critically important set of games in Nov. that will make or break LSU's season. I want LF to win the Heisman just as much as every one else, but I hope Miles doesn't unnecessarily overuse him in games against SU, WKU and Eastern Mich. in an effort to boost his chances. LF MUST be as fresh as reasonably possible going into the final four games. To be fair, Miles doesn't have the rep, nor has he overused LF at any point. The only carry you could say was unnecessary was the last TD against AU where LF hurt his knee. However, the hype will only continue to increase as the season goes on.
Plus, if LSU's NC chances fade, so will LF's Heisman chances. Get to Nov. unscathed and let the fun begin.

A weak field will help LF more than anything.

The hype is already starting to overflow. PTI announcers compared Fournette to Hershel Walker, stating that he could be, that it bares watching further games.
Other media are stating that much like Hershel, opposing players are afraid to tackle Fournette.
I wonder how all of this will affect Miles and his play calling in the past. My guess, probably won't.If LSU wins, the rest will take care of itself.

I can't think of a single player that has been overused under Les. He absolutely cares about the long term future of all his players.

according to the rant Fournette has no chance at the Heisman because Less Miles will pull him after good runs like he did with Keiland....

I certainly can't think of a single receiver that is overused.

Agree with all of this... BTW The whole Bama team is overated......... Ole Miss was lucky and didn't really beat a top team SAT.... This Bama team is on a downturn........

Crazy love, and I lived through 2011 and my question is: are we now witnessing the greatest LSU team of all time?

I think this is the first time I've ever agreed with you. It's also probably the most reasonable thing you've ever said on tRant. The only reason OM is getting all this hype is because they beat big bad Bama at home. People who watched the game realize that Bama is not very good at all(right now). OM is a good team, but I don't think they will finish the year in the top 10.

not sure how henry could be above chubb. it won't last though, they basically lead the nation in pass attempts.

IMO...Not yet..... I watched them all...Hilliard,Charles,Faulk, Collins,Toefield,Davis,Vincent,Broussard,Hester,ScottAddii,Ware,Hill................
He HAS the trophy already, as long as he stays healthy, I see nobody that can catch him.... AS OF NOW...........
As far as the BEST ever at LSU????
We will see what happens at the end of this year........
