He should get at minimum 20-25 touches per game. Dude is explosive, and he's only gonna get better!

Straight up trucked 2 high level safeties as true freshman!

He also put the LB Nkemdiche out of commission for the rest of the year and knocked out Hargreaves.

Fortunately LSU starts out the year with a automatic-win team, that should allow the younger guys to get some collegiate carries and a little game speed exerience so once we do hit bigger games there is someone to spit the load with, if need be. Fournette is one hell of an athlete and is fully capable of 35-40 meaningful carries per game but relying on him to HAVE to take that many carries or hopping he stays 100% healthy will only get you so far. There are a group of guys behind him that have the talent and ability to be the best stable of backs in all of football....if they transition well to college football.

Only branch him during the fourth quarter in a critical game that he has dominated !

If the word that he'll likely not bear the brunt of KO returns is true, I think he'll average close to 20 carries per game and around 7 ypc. He'll also be targeted for more passes this season. Still, for the Tigers to be a productive offense, Williams, Guice and Brossette will need to be explosive when they're in the game. Also likely to see the wideouts called for more running plays this year. Look for about 45-50 runs per game and roughly 25 passes per game.

We have a lot of talent behind him. I expect he touches it 20-25 times a game at least. But Les has always played the RB who has the hot hand so no telling.

Tell that to Tre Mason. His total carries number during his final year at Auburn was 317. He had three games with 30+ carries and had 46 carries alone in the SEC title game.

And he still averaged 23 carries a game...
