This game has resurfaced my feeling that Shep has never been used correctly, and it royally pisses me off the type of talent he is, and that we have hardly ever given him a real shot like Lee. A high character guy, is very pro-LSU, team oriented etc. I HATE that a guy like him has never been given a chance.

Agree, even in good times the inability to figure out an effective way to use Shep has been frustrating. Randle only slightly better and we are heading down the same road with Landy.

might be wrong but I'm almost positive a senior can transfer to another school and not have to sit out as long as they graduate from the previous university.

something like that.

My biggest problem with our wide receiver group is the fact that the coaches want to throw the ball sideline to sideline, instead of going down the field with our speed.

Thats my problem with last night... Les can say what he wants.. But we didnt try to push the ball vertically. They ran a cover 2 shell most of the time last night. DeAngelo Peterson could've torched them on the seam routes. But we refused to adjust. Can go lateral against a cover 2

i can only think of four plays where we threw the balldown field. The one pass to Peterson, the one pass to landry and the 2 deep ball passes to beckam

going down the field with our speed. This is what I expected also. Never happened. Bama sat on this and took it to the trophy room.

I do not blame RS for being upset cuz I am too. Before the game the talking heads were pumping up our receiver corp as better than Bama.

where were we throwing it to them. In traffic and behind the line of scrimmage. At least fake the wr screen once or twice and take em deep.

I do not recall us doing that once in the game.

totally agree, i actually think RS is one the of the best players on the team...I think Les is just abosulutely terrible at three things, speaking, personnel, clock management...three things you really want in a coach...
