I think he had 4 attempts for 4 yards. Thats why we need to give him the ball more. He is a big play waiting to happen. He might get stuffed, but eventually he'll have a crease and he'll take advantage of it in a big way.

I was afraid of this. Personally I think the Shepard run might be the kiss of death for us. Hope we don't try to jam him the ball too much.

then you want LSU to have an offense ranked somewhere between 115 and 119

i dont think it would be that bad... there are times to give him those carries... ie on the goalline im pretty sure he would have punched it in.... or when we have the lead late in games, ie when jefferson got knocked the fuk out... eat up some clock

shep will give us maybe one good play a game, keep in mind he had 4 yards on 4 carries before he broke that 69 yard run. up untill that play he didn't look good at all actually the worse he has even been.

its like trindon almost when he is in it gets very predictable... teams watch film and they should know personel.... shep is an excellent athlete and his explosiveness was shown on that one play. before that he wasnt having much success but keep in mind he was averaging almost 7 ypc prior to this game, so when the d seen 10 on the field they just key in on him specially when he has yet to throw a pass

I recognized that in my post. It kind of is part of my point. Keep feeding him the ball and when he eventually finds some space, watch out.

scott gave us one big run too, a game winner in fact, yet giving him the ball isn't worth it?

also keep in mind this auburn team is bad against the run.... randall cobb kind of the same situation of russell shep and he demolished aubie, when we play bama we are gonna need some tough running
