Dale Brown was also the Coach to give Kentucky their worst loss ever in Rupp Arena. By 30+ points.

The real answer to why he did not dominate in the NCAA is the same reason that he gave for leaving LSU early (other than being picked high in the draft) he was getting KILLED under the boards. That is where the Hack a Shaq started. He was so much bigger the refs rarely called fouls. I had never seen anything like it or since.

I agree. Dale had basketball exciting and fun to take kids to watch. I remember going as A kid and seeing Mike the Tiger rappell down from the ceiling of the pmac right before tipoff. The big sound meter that said "Deaf Dome" or "Deaf o meter" or something like that down the side of it. It would light up the louder it got.
My first game was when Don Reddon played. He heaved a shot from almost the length of the floor and it went in. It was right before halftime but i cant remember if it counted or not.
The games were a LOT more high scoring too. Final scores > 100 werent that uncommon, especially during the CJ years

If Shaquille was so dominant in the NBA, how come he didn't do jack for LSU in the tourney?
We have such a great fan base. Hey let's try and talk shite about one of our best alumni. Talking shite about Shaq? You have to be a Bama alter. Good god. I can somewhat understand why posters shite on JJ, but Shaq? He has been nothing but a great ambassador for our school. Sorry he didnt play up to YOUR expectations. I'll let him know you're upset. Literally DIAF

shaquille put on one of, if not the best performance in the '92 tourney. against indiana, he had 36 points, a dozen or so rebounds, & made all of his free throws.
