Read this WITH a bama logo and tell me what that looks like:
Certainly sounds NOTHING like this:

Im just saying that the OP insinuating that CLM is a clown in the eyes of the media is a total crock of shite.

Miles is extremely stubborn. He is so stubborn that he made a fool out of himself on national television by sticking with his guy and quitting on the team. If that doesn't make the man a fool, I don't know what would be the qualifier for such a label.

So Choctaw you think Les is a top 5 coach? Really?
Posted on 1/11/12 at 9:33 am to XKEnut

That was a game in October or November or something, not the national fricking championship
Does anyone really care about losing by 30 to Florida in 2008? No, because regular season games tend to fade and people get over them. This won't fade and people won't get over it any time soon
Les could not have let what happened happen, and he did

Miles made his bed, he can deal with it. I don't give a frick about his national perception, though I thought a little too highly before the game of him than I should have. He deserves the criticism.
LSU will have a good team next year, hopefully he learned lessons from this debacle. If not, the lack of respect will grow.

The guy is a 58 year old coach. He's not going to learn many more lessons that he hasn't had the opportunity to learn before.

IMO, the only way to counter is admit that the coaching staff did not have his offense prepared, and was unable to make adjustments, and that they will learn and move forward.
What we'll never really know is what pictures or audio JJ had on Miles. Maybe it'll come out 20 years from now...ala Sandusky.

Most people say Les is a good man. Very few say he's smart. Most coaches aren't, but you try to avoid those hires for top 5 programs.

he's had more wins since 2005 than any other coach in the SEC....i think he'll be OK

Choctaw I hope you are right. Because if next year gets away from him it's going to be tough sledding for a while.

Miles is NOT a great coach. Saban is not a great coach, but he seldom makes the same mistakes twice. For Miles to not see what was going to happen is unforgivable. Opportunities like we had do not come along very often. He screwed up royally.

blah blah blah. I hear this shite every year from the Miles haters.
LSU just went 13-0 in the SEC....what signs are there of anything getting away from him?

Les is not a fool, but he certainly is a known [b]liar. He has lied on JL playing time ,injuries,
and a host of other subjects. Whether he lies to gain some competitive edge ,or it is just his character is not known. To believe a liar on any subject is foolish. So I understand you will never
know the real story.

Time to move on Man. We had a great season and shite the bed in the title game! Ok, it is what it is! Next year is another year.

The Miles game plan for 1/9 stunk. But then, so did Saban's—according to the experts on this and other message boards—on 11/5. Hell, Saban got his arse kicked by an outmanned Utah team in the Sugar Bowl in 2008. Every coach shits the bed now and then. And another thing about last Monday: Bama played an OUTSTANDING game, give credit where it's due.
I'm disappointed with the way we played on Monday, but I haven't forgotten the great job Miles did to get us to 13-0, SEC champions, with all the crap he had to deal with this year—not the least of which was working with 2 QB's who were not exactly world beaters. No disrespect to Jefferson or Lee, but getting to 13-0 with them at the helm is a big achievement imo.

every coach has a shitty day. How about when Saban got beat 31-0 at home by Dennis Franchione and Bama?
perception. for whatever reason, saban is and always will be the genius. even when he gets outcoached.
all the pundits were shaking and scratching their heads after monday's game about miles.
this whole board is wondering.

I woke up like I did yesterday thinking it all was a dream.
Blowout, shutout. Worst possible outcome. Not real
