NEW | @theadvocatebr has obtained the separation agreement between OC Matt Canada and #LSU, forbidding the coach to "interfere" in LSU football activities if he wants his full $1.7 million settlement

quote:

Matt Canada’s settlement with LSU could be voided if the former offensive coordinator “interferes” in the football program’s activities or if he “discourages” players or staff in the transition to a new coordinator.

quote:

In the settlement, both sides – LSU and Canada – agreed on non-disparagement clauses, forbidding them from making public statements that “defame, disparage or criticize” one another. The non-disparagement provision is a “material provision of the agreement and that any breach of this shall be a material breach of his agreement and that (Canada/LSU) would be harmed by violation of (the) provision.”

This is legal jargon for O being fearful of Canada spilling the beans on his ineptitude of managing a program... well it’s too late for that anyway because it’s painfully obvious

I knew there would be non-disclosure.

LSU wasn’t about to let it come out how neanderthal O is behind the scenes.

You obviously have never been involved in separation contracts or agreements. The disparagement stuff is standard language.

The interference stuff would obviously have some basis for a threat or past behavior and exhibits why this is good riddance...

What if Canada had a "translator" that spoke for him?

Even if Canada lands a new gig he gets his money without a reduction or set off. Great negotiating Joe!
