Why didn't Mettenberger get any meaningful playing time this year? He is your most talented qb, right?

It's this thing called player development. There was no way that he was gonna come in and immediately get significant playing time over Jefferson and Lee.

See the Les Miles plays favorites thread. And we are fricked next year if JJ was the best QB on this team so you shouldn't have anything to worry about!

The same reason hillard was at the bottom of the depth chart I guess. If ZM wasn't better than JJ then we are in big trouble

yes.....jj and j lee proved to really develop in 4 years.
mett should have seen more reps. lee got hosed at the end of the year, but the real issue is mett did not get in meaningful games.
there was not much of a playbook to know and with a cannon and a good running game, he could have done as much at the qb position as any other qb it seems.
i cheer for all tigers, all the time.

The playbook was too sophisticated for him to grasp..
or so someone would lead you to believe. Truthfully he wasn't gonna start over two seniors sucks but its the truth.
