Anyone on here have season ticket in that section, or have ever set there? I typically end up in one of the Upper Decks, but have the chance to get some tickets to a few games in section 407. I know it's near the visitors entrance, but wanted to see if any of you all had any feedback.

thanks..

It's in the opposite end of the south endzone from the visitors entrance.

Crappy view.

Sat there since '83. Good seats, lots of families...

Also, dependent on how high up you are, 11:30 and 2:30 games are shaded which is nice in September.

Hell, I've got the aisle Seats on row 30. Definitely in the shade and if the wind is blowing right the south upper keeps you dry when it rains. Don't get the tickets if you go to the bathroom during plays. I hate those people.

Row 34 will put you under the overhang for the South Upper. You'll never get wet in Tiger Stadium sitting there. While I'm sure there's better seats for sight lines, I can't imagine watching the game from any other perspective. People have seen me since I was 6 sitting there, now they'll meet my 5 year old in the fall. The tradition continues.

I think this was 404 for the Bama game in '08. TERRIBLE seat, couldn't see the scoreboard and could not see the field when people in front stood...and I'm all for standing but I mean we could not see AT ALL.

I am in 406

407 would put you directly behind where the Golden Girls line up pregame.

407 or upper deck id go with upper deck

outside of sitting in the student section ive sat in 420 or 421 can't remember not bad seats kinda right about where your seats will be it looks like

ive sat in teh golden section west sideline a couple times best seats in the stadium but yeah that don't matter

and a couple times in the upper deck

i don't own season tickets i just have friends who offer me tickets and when i couldn't get student tickets i sometimes go and buy tickets myself they would vary between upper-deck and golden seats

1) I didn't realize LSU's stadium has so much space between the front row and the gate to the field. Is it like that all the way around?

2) Have there been any talks about removing the chain link fence and putting in cement or brick or something? Nothing wrong with chain link I guess just seems kind of cheap.

3) Love how it is entirely bowled in but still seems to have the feel of being outdoors and open space.

4) I am glad I entered this thread and got to see a pic of the Golden Girls. Anytime a college endorses and promotes their coeds being half naked I'm all for.

I love my seats in Section 407. I have been there since 1993. Most people around me have been there forever.

My Grandfather graduated from LSU in '33. He took a job as a county agent and part of his salary were season tickets to LSU Football games. My family has had tickets in 407 (used to be section 7)since at least the 50's.

Best two stories of the section since I've been there (since '83) -
1. SEC games always get a sprinkling of the opposing fan base in the section. During the Alabama game in the late 80's, two drunk ladies got in a fight in the Upper portion of the South End Zone and one fell off the side onto the fans/bleachers below. They carried her out on a back board. It didn't take long for me to figure out LSU and BAMA fans didn't like each other at that point.
2. About 5 years ago, two younger kids (18-19 years old) scored tickets on the row beneath me (sitting a couple of seats diaganol from me.) They proceeded to stand the entire 1st quarter of the game which didn't block my view but did block the 87 year olds view who sits next to me (he made about 2-3 games a year and had sat there as long as I could remember.) His son politely asked them if they would mind sitting since his father couldn't see in which they replied "If you're too old to stand you shouldn't be coming to games." You would have thought there were fire ants on the bleachers at that moment so many people in that section stood up. The 60 year old behind me got to them first saying "Son I might be three times your age but I'm gonna wear your arse out down these steps." Needless to say, they quickly left the area and didn't return. It's amazing the friendships/and or enemies you can foster sitting in Tiger Stadium.

I know - "cool stories bro"
