The SEC and NCAA FBS should move to a home field advantage format. Can you imagine how much fun that would be? I love how FCS, Div II, etc follow that format. It's one of the fun scenarios to follow for an entire NFL season; playing for that home field advantage.

I disagree completely. The lower divisions do that because they have less fan support and money.

I suppose I'm looking at it from a fan's point of view. Can you imagine playing UGA at home for SECCG? Or Clemson in the playoff at home.

IF, your team is good/lucky enough to get to the playoff....is it really fair to fans/season ticket holders to have to travel TWICE = NO !
EVERYTHING is dictated by TV...NO shits are given about the fans that ATTEND games !

When the playoff goes to 8 teams, hopefully the first round will be played on campus.

Conference championship games should be at a neutral site.

If they ever move to a full 8 team playoff format, the top 4 teams should absolutely host the first round at home.

This I could understand and would agree.

All of the others should be at neutral sites. If you think the wailing now over tOSU being #1 over LSU...just wait until that perceived error is compounded by LSU having to play tOSU at their place.

At least, the 'off campus' sites help to ameliorate the unavoidable issue of having to use judgement to determine rankings. In the NFL, there is a record only (with tie breakers) to make that determination.

I like the conference championship at a neutral site

If they go to 8 teams, first 2 rounds at home field advantage would be awesome

That wont happen because then your taking away whatever bowl game site that would be

Do you actually expect the schools to ditch those TV contracts because of season ticket holders?

The CFP championship should be at a neutral site.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the semifinals played on campus, with stipulations for high minimum ticket allotments for away teams. The TV contract would be just as valuable as it is now. The only potential issue is logistics with much less time to plan the event. Also the possibility that a team with shite facilities winds up in the top 2, but I don’t think that’s very likely.

The SECCG should be at a neutral site, IMO. Would be nice if they rotated to some other NFL stadiums in the SEC footprint though.
