shooting 29% from the field will doom just about anyone

I think we were a little too worried about UK's length and ability to block shots. If we just took our time and put up a shot under control instead of rushing because they worried about the block, that percentage would be a lot better.

And Stringer is just dumb for driving to the hoop with Davis waiting there time and time again

heygirl have you watched more than one game this year? I don't think he should keep his job because of two well played games at the end of the year. He will keep it because of his contract, but if his contract ran out after this season I think he would be in danger of not getting a new one.

Great effort by the CTJ and the team. If we have this effort next year with more talented depth we will be a definite threat to almost anyone.

I agree. Trent can win me back(not that he cares) next year by coaching like he has the last two games. Forcing the team to play with intensity.

you don't think JOB has NBA talent ????

Can't shoot, jump, and doesn't have post moves. That is what I see right now. Effort and being 6'10" will get him 8 MPG in the NBA.

He has shown flashes of being able to shoot. He actually can jump and when you see everyone calling him RAW, that means he doesn't have post moves(something he can learn).

I watched the game in its entirety this afternoon. Didn't show a lot of leaping ability. Hasn't shown much this season.

Davis reminds me of Tyrus Thomas. JOB will never reach that level of basketball, IMO.

I'd be ecstatic to be wrong about this for what it is worth. JOB did show a lot of effort in hustling to loose balls for the most part today.

Oh I agree, we were out of control at times and their length was influencing the quality of many shots, even if they weren't actually blocking them.

However, we had some decent looks that just wouldn't fall and Stringer's drives didn't help of course. We shot nearly 40% against UK at the PMAC though, so we're capable of having a better shooting day, even with all their length.

I'm starting to really miss those exciting days when LSU made it to the NCAA. Hope things are different next season.

You do realize that Thomas had to redshirt right because he wasn't "ready" to play in the league?

Did you watch the last game? Just curious.

He has a lot of room for improvement, kind of disappointed, given the expectations. Nucleus is there on this team though, if you add a couple more better than average players. UK was just WAY more talented, LSU did a decent job in this game of keeping it relatively close.

JOB missed the better part of a month with the broken had and that didn't help. He plays very well at times, but is erratic. He's a young player, but I think he can make a huge leap to next year. He's quick off the dribble and can get to the basket with ease at times. He also rebounds on the offensive side well. Needs more lift, and hopefully with an offseason is dunking the ball more often next year. And he needs to better learn how to use his body. But I think the tools are there for JOB.

He has the physical tools to totally dominate. So far, he is an accessory. Really hope he can elevate his game next year. Hickey will be a very good PG and with a dominant PF LSU could go far. JOB has a ways to go still, but has the tools to dominate if he puts the work in.

I agree. I hope he progresses, but it could mean the end of TJ if he doesn't.
