Calling the 1 and 2 seed in the finals.. Big stretch

Though with both pitching staffs I do agree with you, Arkansas being my dark horse to make it.

Should Alabama fire Gaspard? Honest opinions since LSU fans know baseball.

Alabama has been improving. I thought this was the year they were going to be dangerous with White, Salem, and Overstreet now being Juniors.

I think Alabama's problems were having to travel for every game this year. Like the announcers were saying earlier, that's hard on a student athlete.

Yall are playing some pretty solid baseball right now.

Id have Auburn in. I know the sec record isn't great but there is a lack of decent at large teams this year

Yeah 1-2 from here out should make them feel a little better. But I think they will get in. Would give SEC 8 total with UK out.

idk I'd say another year or two and then re-evaluate from there

alabama is at least somewhat relevant again and y'all had to play at hoover this year

I wouldn't write it off just yet

One super regional in six years.

LSU is the standard and I wouldn't dare compare the two programs based on accomplishments, but I find it hard to believe an LSU coach who had such a resume in the same period of time would be given an extra year.

I look forward to the new ballpark, but it aggravates me because fans have used it as a reason why we can't find the big hit or finish games. Ultimately, that falls on the coaching.

Yeah Aubie is the only one I could lean either way. If they win another game I'd give them the nod.

He's going to get another year, no doubt about that. Sweeping Auburn in Auburn assured him that.

If there's no improvement next season, I'd probably start looking. Maybe it'll light a fire under his arse or something.

I remember after the national championship in 2009, LSU dropped off a little and I even think Mainieri was called out for being lazy on recruiting and a little laxed on coaching. That season woke him back up and we started to play really well again.

Problem for him is the core of his fielders are Juniors.. I believe White is gone at least.. probably 2nd round SS.

SECN guys talking about Auburn/LSU game... talking about LSU pitching Poche saying he's "LSU's #1 guy"

granted he throws in the 1st game of each series... but is he REALLY LSU's #1 guy? figure by this point that Lange is the Tiger's true #1 guy

Poche has pitched really well in the Friday night role. Lange is our best pitcher on our staff though.

Being the #1 guy doesn't have to mean you're the best pitcher on the staff. For example, in 2011 Kurt McCune was our Friday night pitcher. He had an unbelievable year, but our Saturday night pitcher was Kevin Gausman.
