Would you mind posting Scoring Offense and Scoring Defense?
And maybe SOS year-to-date?
I think our rankings should be similar, just curious.

I wonder how we stack up against the rest of the SEC for Grit?
The MO for this squad so far is to turn the Gabe into a dog fight and make the other team flinch.
Hopefully we can keep it going.

Over the next two months either our offensive statistics are going to go up or our ranking is going to come down.

I don't know this to be 100% true. Sure it seems likely that if we can't get more production that we won't win the big games left on the schedule BUT collective stats don't tell the whole story.
There is a scenario where our D continues to cause TOs and our O is just effective enough to scratch out wins.
Not necessarily a likely scenario, but stranger things have happened.

If you are an analytics guy, it looks like this team is eventually going to fall off a cliff. Could be an epic disaster.

Sure, but other teams are going to be playing the Auburn/Miamis of the world soon too, so some of these outrageous offensive numbers will come back to earth.
The current offense is not good enough, plain and simple. However, it has time to improve.

It reminds me ALOT of the 2015 team so far.

I’ll absolutely take a W any way we can get it from here on out, but I’m not gonna lie ... where we rank in a few key categories is concerning.
-offense has to get better
-if offense doesn’t improve much, defense HAS to get better than merely good
-we have to score TDs when we get in the red zone
-Defense has to get off the field on 3rd downs
-love our special teams so far
-love our turnover ratio thus far
I’m holding out hope that our offense gets better, and I’ll be dancing in the streets If we win every game 6-3, but If we finish last in the league in total offense we’ve gotta make a change on that side of the ball, right?

Defense looks good. No one has come close to facing the same slate we have, and we’re still pretty close to everyone. That will level out eventually.
Offense is abismal. No reason to be that bad.
Defense has kept us in every game and given the offense multiple scores.

Offense dead last. fricking joke.

I hope they get it together, I’m sincerely rooting for them, but it really shouldn’t be a huge surprise Given we’ve got Miles’ DL coach as HC, Miles’ TE coach as OC, and One of Miles’ OCs (Krags) as chief of staff.

I added scoring offense and scoring defense

Auburn managed 225 yards of total offense at home to Arkansas. They are an average team this year - very good D but terrible offense.
All of you pumpers that are hanging your hats on that win are going to be very disappointed. Of course it's a good win but not a monumental win like this board would have you believe!

I see it too.
The differences though are that we are better on special teams this year, have less penalties (2015 was all time bad), worse on offense, and better on defense.
So:
Offense this year: Worse
Defense this year: Better
Special T this year: Way better
Penalties: Better
Turnovers: Same
The 2015 numbers that I'm looking at are for a full season though, so who knows how it shakes out. If our offense can improve each week, we should be able to be a better team than that.

Really? Have you seen the A&M state? Look at their offense.
We better buckle it up.

T1 in W's that's all that matters

Texas A&M has played Bama and Clemson. A lot more offense and points than LSU thus far.

winning at auburn is nothing to turn your nose up at...however I agree bigosports, Auburn will finish the season ranked somewhere around 21-24. they have at least 3 more losses on that schedule, maybe as many as 5.
