Over the last month, this team has won 16 out of 19 games. Defeated Top 10 Washington & Tennessee, Top 25 Texas A&M and Kentucky in the last two weeks. Gets to the SEC Championship as a 7 Seed. Playing their 4th game in 4 days. Had not had error in the previous three SEC tourney games. Yet, one loss to a good team and you guys come out of nowhere with your BS criticism. Where have you been ALL SEASON? Some of you only comment on threads when LSU loses and your are the definition of fair weather and pathetic.
I love LSU and I love LSU athletics. Softball has had a crazy season with ups and downs, but if you are gonna criticize, remember to give credit as well.

That Bandits guy literally only posts after losses or when he thinks we'll lose. Educote is an arse but at least he or one of his alters is always there.

We play 3 error-free games in a row then completely fall apart defensively. ??

Just dumb, but at least they are consistent.

Rain stopped and miraculously the water is draining in a hurry. We're safe!
Back to softball discussion.
Somebody asked about facemasks... it's not mandatory in college, but is mandatory in high school.
With the pitchers throwing rise balls, there is much more of a chance of an errant bunt or slap to peg a batter in the face. I've seen it happen and it's not a pretty sight. Happened to one of my players and she broke her nose, cheek bone, and jaw. She never played again because of the fear of another injury. It was a shame and a mask would have prevented that.

We have really good drainage, but the rain came harder than I can ever remember. And with all of the flooding Houston got a couple of weeks ago, we are all on high alert as the rivers and streams are still bank full.

Thanks again Tigerbait55! I got it covered for regionals. After reading this thread holy crap people over react a little from one game. Yea this team still has some flaws but they are playing better. Also love how most everybody is negative after a loss, yea it sucks we lost today but give credit to Auburn they are a hell of a team. For the people saying we won't go past the supers how the hell do you know for sure we don't even know who we will be paired with. Overall it was a great tourney for LSU sucks we lost like i said but in the end it will help overtime. Now time to flush this game away and get ready for the real post season.

Agree 100%... and sometimes a game like this are needed to give us a wake up call and refocus on our next goal.
There were times when I was coaching that this happened to us and I would initially want to blast my team, but in reality, we played much better and refocused for the playoffs.

Its a completely different game if Quinn takes care of that routine play for the out. Smith would have pitched longer, giving Hoover more time to rest. Plus whenever we have been behind this season, we seem to press at the plate. It played into Auburns favor unfortunately.
Going forward, my question to Beth is do we keep Quinn at 2nd and hope she does not commit any major errors going forward? Or do you put Bourg or Sanchez there, while not a lot of experience are definitely upgrades defensively. I know Beth is trying to get Walljaspers bat in the lineup but to me all that shifting isn't worth better D at 2nd.
Pitching is fine. This was their 4th game in a row. Offensively, we will need to make some adjustments heading into regionals. We will need to put up more runs going forward into the post season.
Getting to the championship was a pretty big accomplishment. After playing a post season like series against Washington, then turning right around into an SEC tourney is very difficult.

I know it's a crap shoot asking because you never know what the committee will do but what seed do you think LSU will be? Been thinking that they will put us at 10 or 11.
Posted on 5/14/16 at 7:59 pm to lsuman25
I think we will finish around 11. I hope we get sent to FSU, they are definitely beatable.

Quinn needs to be the dp. Wall jasper is not tearing it up at the plate so there is no need for her in the lineup. Simmons is a great at 1b, but average in lf.

The Bell and Kloss fly balls to center would have cleared the fence Tiger park, which is 200'

Been saying this all year. We have 2 GREAT 2nd basemen on the bench.
