That is an incorrect statement. While many or incompetent they several who are also corrupt. The review officials make decisions based on how it affects Ala. first , then on how stinky Stankey wants it to go ( he has a beef with LSU for showing he was incompetent on hurricane fiasco), then on how do they kep LSU out of the Sugar bowl so Ga. can go.

Usually, I think you guys are just paranoid, but then I read this:
Minimum Time For A Play After Spiking The Ball
ARTICLE 5. If the game clock is stopped and will start on the referee’s
signal with three or more seconds remaining in the quarter, the offense may
reasonably expect to throw the ball directly to the ground (Rule 7-3-2-f ) and
have enough time for another play. With two seconds or one second on the
game clock there is enough time for only one play. (A.R. 3-2-5-I)
It's been a rule since 2013; I don't know why it didn't apply in this game, but I'm curious to see how the SEC office spins it...

What exactly does the SEC have to gain by LSU losing to A&M?
You need to look at it from the other side: What does the SEC have to gain by A&M winning? That answer is much more obvious.

I address this point in my thread.
They wanted to Manufacture Drama. Thus, they ignored the rule.
Little did they know they would get a 7OT game out of it, but that's what they got. Also gave the refs additional chances to help aTm, which they did gladly in OT several times.
The SEC won big here.
