If you get SEC network on Spectrum cable subscription; can you stream SEC network + without the ESPN+ subscription?

OK, that is what I keep telling my friend (I have the ESPN+ package); but he keep saying he cannot pull up the SEC+ on the app. Screw it; I'm tired trying to figure it out. Ha Ha.

SEC network + has nothing to do with ESPN +, or it didnt in the past. You need to have the SEC network with whatever you use to watch TV. I think it should just come with ESPN + however.

Are not related in any way except they are both owned and operated by ESPN.

If your cable or satellite service has SECN then you get SECN+ through Watch ESPN on a streaming platform - smart TV, laptop, cell phone, Roku, Firestick, gaming console, etc, etc.

If you go with Roku or Firestick and don't own one already get Roku. Firesticks suck, especially with Watch ESPN. Not especially they suck with everything.

Here's how it works.

All regular OOC home games, and all SEC games (including road games) are televised on ESPN/SECN/SECN+.

All road OOC games will have to be picked up somewhere else (usually ESPN+). This year those are at La Tech, at UNO, and the series in Houston.

***The Pontiff Classic is at LSU (vs ULL). I'm not certain how this will be handled. It may or may not be picked up like a regular OOC home game.

***FOR GAMES ON SEC+***

You DO NOT need to pay for ESPN+ to get this, however you won't be able to find the games on a local cable TV station. You will need the ESPN app, and your cable log in (assuming you have the SECN channel on your cable package). From there, you can watch games on SECN+.

***For ESPN+***

You need to pay the ESPN+ subscription. (Having a paid ESPN+ subscription DOES NOT give you access to SECN+)

***Series in Houston***

Will probably be televised, but not sure where yet. I remember previous years the games were on some sort of fox network, but to my knowledge it hasn't been announced yet

Once in the espn app. Find the college baseball scoreboard, find the game, and then click the watch button.
1)

2) Scroll

3)

If you click the "watch" button at the bottom, you're directed to the ESPN+ for $$$.

I'm big mad because Apple TV removed the ESPN app.

I’m running YTTV this year over paying for cable. My monthly subscription of $64.99 gives me up to 12 devices. The main reason for this was to watch tv at my camp through cell hot spot, as there is no option of cable in the rural area.

I was able to purchase the ESPN app last night through YTTV for $6.99/ month for the sole purpose of LSU baseball season.

Congrats on wasting $6.99 a month.

It's only been about a decade of this same setup. Give the posters here more time to figure it out.

The only thing I have seen is the AT&T Network. That is a TV channel on DirecTV that shows all of the Astros and Rockets games. Comcast started carrying those two teams exclusively and people started dropping DTV like it was a hot potato. So DTV made a deal and got the AT&T channel that shows the games.

Last year every game at Minute Made was shown for free on the Astros YouTube channel. It is their venue so I am pretty sure they will broadcast it again this year.

I have no idea what kind of hassle having ESPN+ is saving you from, but do your thing.
