Rights. LK can say whatever he wants at halftime. The players were not added to the roster and he closed the door adding two to 105. So what if he said " what if we had pro players". He could say kiss my arse SEC. They can't do anything about it. Called Freedom Of Speech. His rights are violated if they try and suspend him or LSU. He even said it in his press conferences that he would abide by the rules of the SEC. LK and LSU did nothing wrong and followed their request. Roster is full. Be careful SEC you could eat this one if you try to do anything to LK or LSU. GEAUX TIGERS!

Sec is arguing freedom of association stating they have a right to not associate with people they don’t want to.

Landry was arguing as all but one are public institutions they may not have freedom of association.

They were using Lanes comments in the lack of institutional control argument.

I think further litigation would potentially expose the SEC to antitrust in addition to contempt. Player suits might still do this actually…

If antitrust comes into play, a court could actually find that the conference’s organizational structure facilitates suppression of free trade.

Take into account the fact CFB is a business & SEC bylaws allow the conference to punish or exclude a school without arbitration or evidence.

Permanent injunction could literally enjoin the conference and prevent them from using their bylaws… forcing them to rewrite SEC bylaws.

Idt the conference wants the smoke, and it seems like we / Rousse are lowkey taking an aggressive position implying “set a new court date or drop your lawsuit, bitch”

What I don’t understand is the judge specifically told the SEC, that they couldn’t punish LSU for following his order. So how are they thinking that expelling, fining or suspending LSU or Lane is not in violation of his ruling?

Even if Sankey and some of the others are blinded by their rage. They have to have Lawyers advising them. These are all supposed to be really intelligent people. Seems odd it’s gotten this far when it ultimately could end up costing significant dollars.

This is why they filed that ridiculous federal suit. It will never go to a judge because if it does Sankey will never recover.

o what if he said " what if we had pro players".

What he said was to the effect of "I am trying very hard to not say 'what if we had pro players". And it was after the interview.
